Fui usuario de Apple muchos años y recientemente le di la oportunidad a los productos de gama alta de Samsung. Nunca he sido fanático de los sistemas Android pero desde que adquirí un Galaxy S8 eso cambió por completo.Después decidí adquirir esta tableta y puedo decir lo mismo de que es un excelente producto, con un acabado elegante. La tableta es bastante pesada si la comparamos con otras alternativas, me parece que está forrada en vidrio templado por ambos lados lo que le incrementa el peso.Me gusta que la memoria se puede expandir con una Micro SD y el desempeño con la pluma S Pen es magnífico, los dibujos y las notas se pueden tomar con mucha precisión y lo mejor es que viene incluída, lo malo es que no hay dónde guardarla o almacenarla. La pluma siempre va por fuera.Respecto al desempeño del equipo, puedo decir que es rápida aunque después de tener varias aplicaciones abiertas se empieza a trabar.

New to Tablets having used Desktops and a Sony Vaio Notebook over the years. At first I was on a learning curve navigating through the myriad of Apps and functions of a Samsung Tablet. I'm happy to say that most applications will sync to a Desktop or Notebook running Windows 10 O/S. Not all Apps however are of any use especially for Canadians. Some are designed strictly for a US audience, especially Quicken money management which will function on the US version but not the Canadian version.The Samsung S3 tablet connectivity is Wi-Fi and since we don't use a cell phone, access to some Apps is limited. It is fast, a colorful screen and we added 32 GB memory to support the storage capability of the tablet. The main applications used will be e-mail and other Apps for traveling outside North America.It is over priced but this market is largely controlled by Samsung and Apple and price point for new Tablets is strictly controlled. This same S3 Tablet in the grey version has dropped to US$499 however the currency values still don't make it a worth while purchase for Canadians.I will probably debate for a lengthy period of time, is a Tablet or Surface Pro from Microsoft the better deal. Time will tell. When not traveling, what do you do with a Samsung Tablet? It will make a nice decoration on a table - but don't spill the coffee on it.

Typical Samsung performance and quality, great portable computer

I bought this in 2019, and I'm reviewing it in 2019. This tablet was created in 2017 and because of the state of Android and the applications that run on it, it can feel slow at times. If you go into this expecting it to be as snappy as a brand new flagship android phone or iPhone, then I would temper your expectations.That being said, this exceeded my expectations and is fantastic for creating digital art and consuming media. The only time I notice any slowness is in the UI and I find myself using this a lot more than I was expecting for random things like browsing the internet.BUILD QUALITYIt's a bit older, but it's still a Samsung flagship device. It is impossibly thin and has a glass front and back on each side. It feels nice to hold, although I do worry about it slipping off a bed or couch or table - I don't have to worry about scratches from wood or plastic or random things because of the hardness of glass. The sides are well crafted as well - I'm not at all worried about this thing looking and feeling great for years to come as long as the hardware stacks up.SCREENSamsung's screens for mobile devices are best in class. They were best in class two years ago, and they're best in class now. It looks ridiculously good, just all the time. Whatever you're doing. Text is very clear, movies and videos look stunning, art is great - and it even has a basic sRGB mode if you're concerned with color accuracy.PENThe pen is glorious. Tilt support is here, pressure support is here, and there's no jitter to be seen. This rivals the iPad Pro as far as ease of use and just working on things in general, and the pen is included. I bought this primarily as an art sketchpad, and I decided to skimp out a bit and not go too big, what I was not expecting was getting this first class art experience that I thoroughly enjoy. I personally use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, and the application is fluid and takes all my strokes exactly how I would expect with no issues. This blew me away, honestly, and I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.SOFTWARESamsung software is bloated, at best. There are some cool features - particularly with taking screenshots, but I do wish there was stock android available. I'll probably eventually wipe it and go with LineageOS, as long as the keyboard cover works with it. It's not bad, it's just a bit overwhelming coming from a stock android experience.SOUNDI wasn't really buying this for the sound but the speakers on this are surprisingly good. They unsurprisingly lack bass, but are really awesome for casual content consumption and are loud enough to play music.I got this tablet for $230, and for the price it's phenomenal. Absolutely recommended, particularly for artists.

Decidí actualizar mi tableta por este modelo y no me arrepiento. Al menos en lo que la he usado no he tenido ningún problema de rendimiento o de congelamiento. Sus 4GB de RAM y su modo de pantalla compartido para aplicaciones hacen que mi trabajo sea mucho más fácil, eso sí, siempre y cuando tengas el teclado aparte, para que no te coma espacio en pantalla.
