This gate was mildly confusing for a minute, but I think the instructions are pretty clear. It’s super easy to install. Absolutely love this gate. A lot of baby gates have the little bottom ledge that you kind of have to step over. But we love this one because it doesn’t have any kind of ledge underneath it. It also opens all the way, which is really really nice if you’re trying to move stuff through it. And if it’s closed at all after being opened all the way, it will self close. It does close kind of hard, which makes me nervous so I just like to close it myself. It’s one of the best baby gates we’ve had. And I really recommend it because the kids are not figuring it out at all. You have to lift up a little bit to open it and so it’s nice cause my kids haven’t figured it out. And for anybody that has kids, you know the kids will figure out how to use the gate. I also like that it’s taller so that’s nice as well so the kids can’t climb it. It’s really sturdy and we love it. It doesn’t look weird being in the house at all. And we like the color. It’s just a nice crisp color. It’s not super heavy or bulky. But it’s sturdy. I would really recommend this gate and I think it’s really good for the price.

Very solid gate. I am really pleased with the sturdiness of this. The instructions were pretty good. I had it up in 10 minutes. I love that it is a door frame screw in because it will be super solid. The latch and lift seems pretty nice. I had ordered a different type gate, and installed, ultimately having to return because the latch would not work. I will be ordering a second one but taller for another doorway with good confidence in what I will receive. I definitely recommend.

These are fantastic gates! We use them as dog gates. My 80 lb Basset/Lab would knock over the tension gates. They take a little bit to get used to the lifting feature but the auto close and the fact that they open both directions has been fantastic! We’ve had them about a month so far with no issues. Installing them is probably better with 2 people and no dogs trying to help! They were simple to adjust to our door way and the mounting blocks were helpful to make sure it was all level. So far they are sturdy and holding up well.

We love this gate. Our little one was determined to play in the foyer (where all our shoes are) and we wanted to keep them out of there. It works well, seems to be sturdy, latches easily, and is high enough that the baby can’t pull themselves over it. The installation was a little tricky and you periodically need to pull the door to get it to securely latch. It’s not too bad, but this is the reason for the one star reduction. I really like that it opens both ways (in and out).

We put this on one end of the porch that I didn’t want the dogs going on. Works great, easily opens and closes. Great for keeping animals or toddlers in one area.

I purchased this gate for a dog barrier. Once it's set up, it works great, but what a pain to put it together.

We’ve been using this gate for a few weeks now and overall, it’s been a great addition to our home. It was fairly easy to install and feels sturdy and secure—definitely gives us peace of mind with little ones around the stairs. I really like the sleek design; it blends in well with our decor and doesn’t look bulky. The locking mechanism is also easy for adults to use but keeps kids safely out. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the latch can be a bit tricky to open one-handed, especially if you’re carrying a baby or laundry. Also, the instructions could be a bit clearer. Still, a solid product that does exactly what it promises. Would definitely recommend to other parents!

We were looking for a no-fuss, pressure-mounted temporary baby gate that ideally wasn't the usual ugly white cheap plastic crap. This metal gate exceeded all our expectations. Not only is it immensely sturdy at only a fraction of the price more than the cheap quality stuff, the wood look finish was an added plus. From close you can obviously tell that it's not real wood, but from far it does the trick and blends perfectly with our staircase. 10/10 highly recommend. We even decided to buy two more and our house is perfectly puppy/baby proof!

I’m using this gate for 7 dogs. It was easy to install, didn’t use instructions. I didn’t use the bottom locking bracket. It wasn’t needed but also cause having to lift the gate to unlock would put excess strain on the hinges and it was not very easy to do. The gate is sturdy, easily adjustable for length and simple to install. It swings open easily both ways, with just a push of a button. As advertised it does swing back and lock if opened less than full and it does pressure lock when fully opened. Big upgrade on our pressure fit old gate that gouged the walls with excessive use. Not to mention having a couple family members trip over the old one cause moving it was a pain. One thing to mention is the hinges and locking mechanism are solid plastic. I’d prefer metal of course but full metal would be 3 times the price likely. I used a piece of tape to hold the lift locking mechanism in. Sturdy enough to hold 7 big dogs back and super easy to open, perfect👍🏻

This is a great baby gate that I am using to keep my dogs out of the basement. It was super easy to install. It has a nice rustic look to it; it looks like wood, but it is made of metal. It’s great quality!
