Yes, not a problem. I use it plugged in during the mornings getting ready for work, and it stays charged for when I take it out to the field.

Can this be paired to more then just 1 speaker?

Yes, I have 2 and put them at either end of my pool and synch them up. These speakers are outstanding for the price.
