Got this for a friend that I've known for a while (almost 40 years). I'm not a prank person. But this was too good to pass up. She opened the wrapping, and slowly turned the box over and over. I could tell she was struggling to be polite. It was hilarious and I had a hard time trying not to smile. Then she said, "Wow! Can't wait to try this out!" Of course, there's no way you can fit a coffee maker and a shower head in a box this size, but no one seems to realize that after the initial shock. So most people that receive these will look at it, try to figure out what to say/do, and then put the box down. You CAN'T let them move on to the next gift/subject. So my advice is to say something like, "It's amazing that they fit all of that in the box! Open it up and see for yourself!" That's the FUN part -when they realize it's a joke. Then they giggle, a mixture of embarrassment and relief. I won't call them naive, because there's so many REAL As Seen on TV-type gifts that are the same, and the packaging is so darned convincing that nearly ANYONE will fall for it. hell, I'd fall for it if I had no idea what it was, but I'd also open the box to see the coolness for myself, because that's normally what I'd do. Speaking of, when the person opens the box, they might see a two side flaps, one says "PRANK YOU" and the other "You've been pranked". But having given three of these out, NO ONE except my husband saw THE HUGE BLACK ON YELLOW LETTERS upon opening it. I contribute that to the shock thing. I've heard that these are at Walmart for less, so I'm gonna have to check that out. I think this would be a FANTASTIC part of a white elephant gift, or a birthday, or anywhere there's a crowd, seriously. It's that good. It's hilarious. But once you prank someone, the jig is up. The box is good enough it can be reused a few times or kept for display. I encouraged my recipients to prank someone else so the fun could continue on...it's kind of like a prank it forward of sorts! Oh, and this is made in the USA. So I have NO PROBLEM paying for these. And the cost...psssht. Big deal if it's over $5. You're paying for the artwork and the entertainment factor. Don't get all wound up over it. A greeting card can be nearly as much cashola.

Funny gag box to put your gift in. The glossy photos makes the box look real. I'm always trying to find fun ways to give cash to my nephews. Used this box and I weighted it so it felt and sounded like shoes if you shook it. Whole family was fooled - everyone wanted to see what these "ToeTunes" slippers were like. Surprise - it's cash! Great laughs all around!

This was a hit for our white elephant gifts at Christmas. The outside of the box was just funny. Everyone loved it.

These prank boxes are hilarious. My friend was literally smelling the box to see if she smelled bacon lol. I was able to fit a PJ set, top and bottom in the box with no bulging. The box is perfect to wrap and watch the laughs! I must have for great sense of humors!

I bought this to put a gift card in and don't regret the purchase. However, the box is a bit small as far as height for what is supposed to be the prank gift, a cheese printer. So it kind of is hard to sell as a prank that there is some sort of "cheese printer" in there. If the box had more realistic dimensions to match what the prank gift should be I think it would work better . Also the material of the box is rather thin and flimsy. So that also doesn't sell the prank well since real electronic items are usually in thicker packaging. That said it still worked for a laugh. I put some packaging materials and pieces of wood inside to add weight with the gift card. My gift recipient had a good laugh when they first saw the box after unwrapping it. They even commented later that they would not have minded if there was an actual thing as a cheese printer. They also said they will keep the box to prank someone later. So I guess it served its job and I got my money's worth.

1000% worth filling this with a bag of rice to see the panic in elderly relative's eyes. Mine has been re-gifted multiple times. A gag that keeps giving.

I should have read the description more carefully as we bought this thinking it was actually laundry sheets but it's just the box. Having said that, it is a good box and we put the People of Walmart colouring book inside along with some pencil crayons and unscented laundry sheets. Then we told the recipient (winner of the grand prize) that the bacon smell would come out with the heat from the dryer. They were worried about their dog staying away from them - lol!! Comes with an impossible maze that we gave everyone to do to try to get the prize. Fun gift swapping party for sure.
