Impressed, great BT receiver
I purchased an older Chevy that unfortunately only has an aux input. This thing works great! Audio quality is pretty good for what it is and it starts up/connects FAST. My phone almost immediately connects when turning the car on. No annoying static/line noise either. Very happy with this bluetooth receiver and the fact that it is compact.

Seamless Bluetooth Integration for My Home Stereo.
I recently purchased the HVMLAK Bluetooth Aux Adapter for my car stereo, but I also found it to be the perfect solution for my home stereo setup. This little device has completely transformed the way I listen to music at home. Before getting the HVMLAK Bluetooth Aux Adapter, I had to hook up my phone to the TV and play music through the speakers. It was cumbersome and inconvenient. Now, I can plug the adapter into the back of my stereo unit and Bluetooth my phone directly to the stereo. The seamless and reliable connection allows me to stream music effortlessly from apps like Spotify. The sound quality is excellent, with no noticeable lag or drop in audio fidelity. The setup was straightforward and hassle-free, taking just a few minutes to get everything up and running. I love how this adapter has decluttered my setup and made it much easier to enjoy my music.Overall, I am pleased with the HVMLAK Bluetooth Aux Adapter. It provides a simple and effective solution for integrating Bluetooth into any stereo system, making it a must-have for music lovers. It is highly recommended.

Perfect solution for older vehicle or jobsite radio!
Just what I needed to connect my phone via Bluetooth to the stock radio in my '09 Expedition. Bluetooth connection was seamless, just had to go into the menu on my phone and find "HVMLAK U6" and connect to it. Others complained of interference and noise from the vehicle, but I did not notice any issues. I thought the sound quality was excellent streaming Pandora on my phone through the radio, but I don't own any super high end audio equipment, so my ear might not be as sensitive as others to that sort of thing. As an extra bonus, it also worked perfectly to connect to my Bosch Powerbox jobsite radio. I will probably buy another one of these so I can keep one in the Expy and another in the Powerbox. Very happy with it!

Works seamlessly
My mother has a car without Bluetooth but she does have an aux and accessory outlet. Enter this thing. I plugged it up, made sure it was in an outlet that only powers up when the car is on, and then I paired my mom's phone to it.Now, she just gets in her car, starts it, and her phone automatically connects and starts playing her podcasts, which is exactly what we wanted. We haven't had to fool with it once. It also sounds pretty decent although it's largely being used for podcasts. We did not mess with the Bluetooth calling part of this at all since this dongle lives inside the central console, so I can't comment on the mic quality or anything like that.If you consider purchasing this, I would highly advise making sure the USB plug or 12-volt accessory outlet (with a phone charger plugged in) turns off when you turn the car off. I would imagine if the outlet always got power, then your phone would always be trying to connect to the dongle. And it would drain your car battery for no real reason. Some cars allows you to change the position of a fuse to change a 12 volt outlet from always on to turning on and of with the car. It might be worth checking your car manual for that.

Fantastic concept, lots of hissing noise coupling to audio signal
The concept of this with bluetooth integrated into the USB plug is awesome. I wish the sound quality was better: What I mean is that the noise coming from the cars alternator and 12V -> USB power adapter couples right through to the audio side and results in hissing sounds. They are always present, and can be very clearly isolated in between songs when nothing else is playing. I wish they had been more careful about noise coupling to the audio output in the electrical engineering design of the adapter. I am considering adding some sort of a filter in between the USB power supply and the USB port of this dongle, to make it easier on the adapter. I am sure off of a clean lab power supply the adapter works great, but in a car, the input power is not very clean...

Great alternative
Used in MINI 2015 factory radio no Bluetooth and not smart radio. This under $10 fix is amazing! Has aux and USB port side by side .. works perfect.Easy install. Auto connects and disconnects from phone when engine is on or off.

Works great and my phone finds it fast!
I got one for my truck but decided to test it on the stereo I use in my weight room. It works so much fast than the one I had previously that I decided to keep it in the weight room and buy another for my truck.

Bass boost, and clipping
The first thing I noticed when using this was that there seems to be a bass boost applied, so much so that if the music is turned up to max volume on my phone, it will cause clipping when it reaches the stereo.I experimented with this for a couple of months in my car to try and pin out what causes it. I found that when the phone's volume is above 85% it seems to increase the lower frequencies exponentially, so if it's set to 100%, any sufficiently loud bass will cause the clipping. It's not noticeable in all songs, but I found several where it was common, and tested with those songs on a few bluetooth enabled stereos, and this bluetooth adapter carried the around to all of them.Since I can't turn the volume up to be able to sufficiently control the volume at the stereo without clipping, I'm going to be returning this to try and find another which doesn't change the EQ.
