Great Product
I have a whole bunch of hobbies. One is off-roading in dune buggies, quads and motorcycles. Out in the middle of nowhere, flats are a super drag...I have tried all the liquid patches, and this stuff works by far the best. One trip out on a quad I grazed a very sharp rock, and it sliced a 2 inch long cut in the sidewall. I thought I was screwed, but I tried the Slime anyway. To my surprise, the tire held pressure for the 10 mile ride back to camp! Of course the tire was toast, but Slime got me back home.Another great use is rim sealing on big tires. I have 24" rims on my truck, and over time was having problems with the tubeless tires leaking air around the aluminum rims. I tried the fix a flat from the convenience store, and it worked only for about 10 miles, then started leaking again. Had to take it into the tire shop, where they remove the tire from the rim and applied a tar like sealant to the rim. Took 1 & 1/2 hours and $45 from my life...When my next tire started the same problem, I tried 1/3 a can of Slime. Problem solved, no leaks in 20,000+ miles. Even worked on the small tires on my commercial hand truck that needed air ever time I used it, and on the bicycles.Slime comes in two application types. One is just slime in a bottle so you can inject it into a tire before there is a leak. It just stays in there waiting for an air leak to plug up. The other application type is their "Quick Spare", which includes Slime and compressed air in a can to seal AND inflate a flat or low tire when your out and about. One of the things that worried me was if the Slime would damage my tire pressure sensors. No problems so far after 60,000 plus miles and 2 sets of tires.Over time I have put a can of Quick Spare in all my vehicles. It has saved me (and my friends I have had to rescue) a lot of time and money...

Not For Slow Leaks From Rim Or Valve Damage
Had to revise my initial review after day two because my tire DID leak again. Got this because I had a slow leak and didn't want to mess up my tire pressure sensors with the other version. Although I suspected it might not work because the leak might have been around the rim, or at the valve, and the product description flatly states it doesn't fix those, I decided to risk the low cost. I had hit a curb very hard with the leaking tire, and noticed the leak shortly thereafter, making a rim or valve leak a prime suspect. Some of the other reviewers had stated it had worked for them in fixing those types of leaks. It was extremely easy to apply, although I agree with another reviewer that it is a good idea to have a rag on hand because you will probably get some slight backwash when removing the filler hose from the valve. My tire was down about 10 psi and I used the entire can, per instructions, which filled the tire only 1.5 psi above the desired setting. I have ordered another can to keep on hand for emergencies. Despite it's limitations, still an excellent product!

Works great... Until it completely stops working at all!
I got a small construction staple stuck in my tire. Right on the tread, a few very small holes. Exactly what this product is designed for. I followed the directions to a 'T', the Slime "clotted" in the hole and stopped the leak, and then I drove a few miles slowly to get the stuff well distributed in the tire. I measured the pressure over a few hours and it held. The next day, however, I drove to work and when I came back to my car that evening, the tire was flat. Lost pressure faster than when I had the staple in! It's been extremely cold here (Boston in February) and we've got a lot of snow, so my guess is that this stuff doesn't work too well in those conditions.I know a lot of people seem to have good luck with this, but I figured it would be useful to temper things a bit with the perspective of somebody for whom this product didn't work at all. Most importantly, watch out when using this in very cold weather. One more thing: if you look at the reviews you'll see that's it's pretty much either 5 stars (worked for people) or 1 star (didn't at all) with not much in between. It appears to work for about 3 out of 4 people, resulting in a pretty high average review (hence the four star overall rating). And that's assuming the Slime people are uncommonly honest and don't post false positive reviews.Put another way, THERE IS AT LEAST a 25% CHANCE THIS PRODUCT WILL BE A DISASTER FOR YOU! A 25% chance this will cause you far more trouble than if you'd just had the tire patched or used a more conventional tire sealnt, and that will make you deeply regret buying this. I'd actually say that for a product like this a 25% chance of failure is WAY too high. So, consider the 4/5 star review in that context. 4/5 might be a good rating for a TV, but for a product that is fixing something as important to your safety as a car tire, having a 3:1 ratio of five to one star reviews actually isn't that great.

Necessary In A World Of Cactus
Love this stuff! I carry a can in the car, just in case of a flat along the way -- maybe even to help someone else out. But I also use it as a necessary additive, in my mountain bike tires, and my ride 'em Husqvarna mower tires. We live in Arizona, where cactus proliferates. I can tell you from hard experience what it's like to get a 4-inch prickly pear needle through a tire, and tube. (I have to have tubes in all "tubeless" tires, because of the environment).I let out most of the air from a tire, put in a good shot of the green slime, and top up the tire to the correct pressure with an inflator. Then it's important to put a mile or two on the vehicle at a slow speed, to spread the slime internally. I've already taken care of a few punctures this way. Also, I'm now protected as I use bike or mower on the land. By the way, the product notes say that it can increase the life of rubber tires. In this extremely dry environment, that's important as well.Recommended.

First for the good stuff Had a bolt lodged in the side wall ...
First for the good stuffHad a bolt lodged in the side wall of my SUV tyre. A patch was not an option. Since my SUV is a 4Wheel drive was told I had to replace all 4 tyres in order to avoid an imbalance in the differentialI used Slime as per the given instructions, it's been a week now and the tyre has held just fine. No significant loss in tyre pressure.Thankyou Amazon and Slime for saving me money. Now for the bad stuffPeople...please use disposable gloves. No matter how careful you are you will get this slime on your hands and the odour will not leave your hands for days.No matter how many times I washed my hands I couldn't get rid of the smell. It took 2 days to leave my handsWould definitely recommend with the above precaution

Just Perfect!
So far it has worked brilliantly.... you know the scenario.... the night you forget to put the fireguard on is the only night the coal explodes and sets fire to the carpet. so we have the slime tucked away neatly out of sight and we have never needed to use it ...exactly how I hoped it would work!

Slime me!
Great product. Inflates the tire easily and seals it. Saved me twice now.Remember to shake can a lot before using, try to wear gloves or not spill it on your hands and always drive right after to evenly distribute the slime inside the tire to seal the leaks.

More convenient than a full compressor kit
The run-flats in my Works Mini were appalling with the suspension setup, so I ditched them and bought two of these which arrived promptly and stowed neatly in one of the boot storage compartments.I like the fact that they do not damage tyres and the slime can be easily removed when the tyre is properly repaired.I hope I never need them.

Smaller than a tyre!
This is a lot easier than carrying a spare tyre. Fortunately I have not had to use this one yet but the price is a lot more competitivethan the dealers offerings. It is certainly easier than a long walk home or to get help.
