Alternative use to lower laptop tray position on wall mounted LCD arm
Might be useful for someone else...I used this product to lower the vertical position of my laptop mounted using the Ergotron 50-193-200 Tray/Stand, attached to the excellent AmazonBasics Wall Mount LCD arm. The positioning of my position of my laptop was just too high to match my external screen so this bracket perfectly fitted and allowed lowering of the laptop by about 6 inches. The plate is not designed for this but it's holding my 13" Mac book pro quite happily. The vesa fixings are in exactly the right place. I used the supplied screws and fixed them in the reverse of the plate so it attached to the wall mounted arm. (I screwed the screws in before fitting to bite a thread in the 1mm at the back of the fixing where the NUC is expected to fix to, no problem to do and fixing feels secure). Then the smaller vesa holes comfortably positioned to meet the ergotron laptop tray attachment. Just what I needed though not what the manufacturer must have expected!

Ideal solution for my dual monitor setup
I just got a snazzy new black & white chair, white desk and classy looking white dual monitor support for my home office (aka grandchildrens' bedroom). But the monitor arms would not allow the 22 and 23" monitors to be fixed far enough apart. I found this extension and thought it must be worth trying. It came the next day and after tightening the screws that control rotation of the monitor (it's now offset from the main mounting point so needs much more resistance to rotation) it proved to be the perfect solution. You'll see from the photo that one end of the plate, with threads for 100mm VESA screws, is attached to the mounting bracket and the monitor is offset away from the other monitor by about 14cm and fixed to the plate via the 75mm holes. That's enough to keep it clear of the other monitor so I can rotate it so both monitors are directly facing me.

Solid, just works, with a caveat for Dell monitors
All as expected, somewhat expensive for a piece of steel with a few holes, solid though.TL;DR: not directly suitable for use with monitors which have recessed VESA mounts (e.g. Dell monitors).Used to mount a NUC. I had previously mounted it on the unused VESA mount of a monitor with a desktop stand. I then upgraded to a Dell monitor, the style with the click-release stand that completely covers the VESA mounting holes. Even if the stand is removed, the recessed VESA mounting means that this device cannot be used with the screws provided. Happily, I had also upgraded to a clamp-mount stand which included a set of long machines screws and 15mm "bushing" type offsets for exactly this situation, saving the day - and the clutter.Though I'm afraid I only rated it 1-star on the "sheerness" scale that the Amazon review wants me to fill in. It is neither a town in Kent, nor a pair of stockings.

Great product, should be cheaper
Works as expected 100%, my only issue is the price as it is essentially a piece of metal with holes places into it. Though the price on him (Amazon) is a lot lower than on SimplyNUC - who are selling this for £29.99. So it’s a bargain price wise, I am just not sure if it is value for money considering the product simplicity.

expensive bit of metal with some holes drilled in it
works well to mount both a monitor arm and NUC pc to the back of the monitor

utilisation alternative

Simple, works as expected
Awesome! Affordable, simple, and works as expected. I mounted it for use with my silent / passive NUC6i case.
