I got this for my sons birthday, it is beautiful, not too big, not too small, and with the originality of being a round board thats made out of hand carved wood, it really complemented the warm ambience of his living room. it also folds into a semi circle and all the chess pieces fits inside its fold. It is a beautiful board, worth keeping for a lifetime.

I bought this for my boyfriend's 21st and it is beautiful. Fabulous quality, lovely wood grain showing in the squares, and a good size (I'd say slightly smaller in width than an A4 notebook). I was very pleased, as was he, and it received a lot of compliments.

I bought this as a gift for my husband for his 30th birthday and he was thrilled! He loved it! Beautiful chass board. Exactly like the picture!

Not sure whether to return or not. The set I received didn't have the extra bit of pattern on the sides of the chess board (shown in some of the pictures on the web site) and some of the wood is a bit rough. The shape and size is perfect for my needs and I like the idea of being able to fold it up. However the chess pieces are nothing special, roughly carved and some of them are a little rough in parts and it was disappointing that they are loose inside the folded chess board when stored which means they are going to get jostled - also you have to make sure they are put in carefully or the board won't close which is a bit of a faff. For the price I expected better to be honest.

Didnt look anything like photo. The quality is very bad, the green felt bottom wasnt even glued on properly. Really disapointing.

Unfortunately it was alot smaller than I would have liked
