I've never heard of Burdock Root, but after looking into the benefits I was excited to try this. I was intrigued by the claims that it acts as a diuretic and will reduce inflammation. I have knee problems and tend to retain water, so these were the benefits I was looking for. I've been having a cup of this tea every day for over a week now, and it seems to be working. My knees aren't as painful, and they don't feel as tight and swollen as they normally do. I can also say that I've seen the proof of the diuretic properties. Not only am I impressed with the results, but I really love the way it tastes. It's smooth, light, and slightly woodsy. It's calming and very pleasant. The amount you get will last me for a while even with drinking a cup a day, and it's packaged in a way that keeps it fresh. This is one of those things I'll be ordering again.

This is definitely what it says it is and I tried to taste it right out of the bag, dried, to see how the flavor was so I could decide how I wanted to use it. I have to say it's got a good, earthy quality to it and I think I'm going to grind some of it up a little more for teas, maybe some smoothies as well as dome tincture mixes for sicknesses, etc since I'm trying to learn how to go more natural. I think this burdock root will be a good addition to my herb pantry. I don't typically chew on dried herbs, but I had never experienced Burdock root before so in order for me to know how I wanted to use it, that helped me decide. I may just snack on it a little here and there as it is but I am not not sure if anyone else will like it that way. Looks like good quality. Not sure if the asking price is fair, I think it's a little high, but seems like good quality. I'm pretty sure I will order more in the future!

I've never tried burdock root tea or supplements so I wasn't sure what to expect. Made a tea this evening with these burdock root cut and sifted pieces--- they appear like small pebbles. The tea was very mild and tasted earthy. I imagine if a squirrel in the forest made me a cup of tea, this is what it might taste like. Next time I might add a peppermint leaf or maybe some ginger to make it a bit more flavorful. What's interesting is the health benefits people rave about. It apparently has medicinal properties for both humans and animals. I read an article mentioning it would make a good supplement for cats--- which is interesting because my cat really liked the smell of the burdock root and I think she might like to try some. Overall, a good addition to any tea drinker's pantry. Thumbs up!

Burdock Root is purported to have a wide range of healthy attributes. From antioxidants to blood cleansing, skin health, anti-inflammatory for arthritis and even cancer inhibiting qualities. But I am NOT one of the new age people that instantly believes everything natural is good for you. At least not in the extreme sense that often is claimed to exist within these cure-alls. BUT, I am willing to try something that claims to be healthful, if other positive qualities come along with it. I can say I do enjoy drinking tea made from Burdock root. It has a mild earthy flavor that reminds me a bit of Bok Choy. I may even add it to some Asian soups as a flavor enhancer. I'd like to believe it has healthy qualities, but even if it has no positive health affects for me, at least I can enjoy the tea. The tea is prepared well, with no signs of other plants in the mix. Sealed in a zip lock foiled lined bag, it should remain fresh for some time to come.
