Easy setup, sturdy design
This stand is easy to set up, sturdy construction and of course comes with the handiness of the swivel pedal, so it's great for if you're using it with double kick pedals.

Good but irritating to transport
When it's up, it's a good stand, however there is no way to pack it up for transport without undoing the baseplate...it doesn't fold. I find this slightly irritating!

Not tough enough for gigging :(
This is a smooth pedal with good features at a low price. Too good to be true? I'm afraid so. If you are going to just set this up on a kit and leave it there, fine. Go ahead. Once set up, this stand is fantastic - responsive, smooth, rock solid. If you are going to be breaking this down, transporting it, setting it up etc etc then think again. 1) Its fiddly to set up. There's an awkward bolt arrangement on the foot pedal that I always found fiddly to assemble. 2) It doesn't fold fully flat, the pedal sticks up a bit. Makes it bulky to carry and when mixed with the third issue it's more than an annoyance. 3) The link between footplate and pull rod seems a weak point and broke for me after about 18 months. Now you get a 5 year warranty with Mapex, excellent, but I think the fact that the footplate doesn't fold flat means it gets compressed when in transit and being moved around between venues. I'd much rather have it not break in the first place than have a good warranty. So in summary, it's cheap and fantastic if you aren't going to be moving it around much. If you gig regularly, look elsewhere.

If you like crawling around on your hands and knees, fiddling with washers, in the dark at gigs, to fit the base plat with a drum key then you'll love this.

Looks awesome, plays great
Function is great, adjustment is easy, always high-quality by Mapex. The black color is outstanding, much better than chrome. Definitely heavy duty. And a great value, highly recommended
