42" Shinai, barely used by my son three times in Kendo practice.

A winner for my son
I order these for my son to play around with and for that purpose they are really great. Sturdy, well made sticks. I can't speak on their benefit to real training but for a kid who wants to practice kendo informally (or role play ninja fighting an epic battle with the tree out back) the sticks are perfect.

E-C-DUB! E-C-DUB! E-C-DUB!
I'm a wrestling fan. I bought this to cane my friends, girlfriend, and ECW Sandman haters. Perfect look and feel for what I wanted. Make sure you sand out some very slight rough areas and oil it a bit to keep it durable.

Great as a prop!
Bought this as a cosplay prop and it works great! Some of the strings have come loose but nothing to drastic I can’t fix. I would suggest only using this for light play/prop as I feel the wood/make of the stick is a bit weak but for what I bought it for it works perfect.

Great price for great quality.
Even though I've only started kendo recently, I can tell this is a good shinai by the way it is made. The wood is study and the weight on it is good for a starting kendoka.Overall I would recommend this to a starter kendoka if not a more advanced student.

Didn't come with tsuba, and it's warped.
It is pictured with a tsuba/handguard, but does not have one (at least mine didn't come with one). It is also warped. Not terribly, but it's definitely not straight...

Decent Value
Not the best quality, but it seems like good value for the price. I'm not sure how well it will hold up in sparring, but it seems like it would be good for beginner solo practice.

Great Kendo Sticks
The kids and I are having a lot of fun with these. Seem to be well made and make a great cracking sound when hit. The only problem i foresee is that when the string that hold the sticks together breaks then the sticks are done. We shall see how they hold up.
