gangsta granny
I originally purchased this dvd because I read the book of gangsta granny, and wanted to see the movie version. while I wasn't too thrilled by the movie, (the book's better!), I did enjoy the other 2- I'd never heard of them and they did inspire me to read the books. MR stink especially is very loyal to the story

3 wonderful BBC films written by the successful comedian
3 wonderful BBC films written by the successful comedian, actor and children's author David Walliams. I have watched all 3 several times with my grandchildren. The first 'Mr Stink' which stars the wonderful High Bonneville and David Walliams himself with the luminous young actor Nell Tiger Free and the multi talented Sheridan Smith and a very sensitive Johnny Vegas concerns a rabidly over ambitious far right, parliamentary candidate (Sheridan Smith) determined to get elected in the bye election, her policies make Genghis Khan look moderate. Meanwhile her delightful, sensitive teenage daughter ((Tiger Free) befriends the odiferous old tramp (Bonneville)and his clever dog 'Duchess' and puts him up in the family garden shed where he has baths in the garden pond. My personal favourite 'Gangsta Granny' blends the problems of lonely old age and selfish, over ambitious parents with an hilarious take-off of Strictly Come Dancing. My grandchildren's top choice has to be 'The Boy in the Dress' which tackles cross-dressing in an approachable non-judgemental way and shows us that very versatile actor Tim McInnery in a whole new light far removed from his Blackadder days as Lord Percy and Captain Darling. All three films are studded with cameo roles from countless famous actors/ personalities e.g Robbie Williams and Joanna Lumley! Great viewing for all the family, sensibly priced, guaranteed to enchant and entertain.

Fantastic little films for kids
My daughter watched rat burger at Xmas time on the tele but sadly I couldn’t find it to buy but I found this box set! We both loved them, they are just as good as ratburger. They’re all funny and remind me very much of Roald dahls work. Our favourite was mr stink. I think these little films are great for kids of all ages. Hoping they’ll bring out ratburger to buy.

... son I had to let everyone know what a great writer David Walliams is
I do t usually write reviews but after watching these films with my 7 year old son I had to let everyone know what a great writer David Walliams is. These stories give a great message to children that it's ok to look and feel different, they let kids know that everyone is different and we shouldn't judge anyone despite their apples che or lifestyle. David does this but with great humour and sometimes touching scenes. Id recommend these books and films to anyone. My personal favourite is Mr Stink.
