I have a Heatilator gas fireplace from 1999 that has worked well, but the loud fan drove me crazy. I found this and after reading reviews of this one and several others I decided to purchase this brand. The fan is so much quieter than my last one. The air output seems to be similar. It is so nice to be able to watch TV while the fireplace and blower is on! You can hear it running on the higher settings but it’s a nice tone that doesn’t scream over the audio.The fan seems built well, comes with many options for installing and mounting and I love the remote control for fan! All the equipment tucked away nicely under the fireplace, including the remote sensor. Installation was quick even though I ended up changing out my old fan wall switch that was a dimmer/variable speed knob and put in a regular on/off switch. Didn’t want to risk damaging this unit with it being plugged into an outlet controlled by a dimmer - especially with kids in the house that love to push buttons!This was packaged really nicely and instructions were clear and easy to understand. I cannot speak on how long this fan will last since I just installed it but hope it will give me many years of peace and quiet!I am extremely happy about my purchase and wish I would’ve done this years ago!

I purchased the Airblaze S14. Excellent design and quality and a very good value for the $. Very pleased with the blower airflow, and it’s a quiet as it could possibly be. The remote is also very compact and classy design. It does have a “memory”; if you set it to - say - 50%, then you can turn it off by first pressing the button (to “wake up” the remote) and then press & hold the button for several seconds, it will then turn off. A single button press will wake it up again and will ramp up to 50% (or it’s last setting). Fully equipped with mounting screws/bolts, cable ties and a nice pack of quality 3M Velcro pads. Five stars for sure!!Follow-up comments after using for 4 or 5 months: Continues to work great, BUT I find that the remote quickly drains the AAA batteries when not in use. We only use the blower on weekends. At first I thought maybe it was just a bad set of alkaline batteries, but this has happened several times now. The simple solution is to remove the batteries when not in use. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I just thought the manufacturer and prospective purchasers should know about this design fault.

Love this fan. It is much quieter than our previous dual squirrel fan blower that was AC. It seems to blow about the same amount, which is all we could ask for. I like the little remote it comes with as if we don’t need as much airflow we can turn it down to 1/2 or 3/4 speed and it’s even quieter. Super nice. I know the DC fan just sips the power so that is great. The design is nice with the power supply separate from the main fan assembly so you can stash it in a place on your insert away from the the main heat of the stove. Ours is a wood stove and on occasion can get pretty hot inside the insert area, so it is a nice touch for this flexibility. My other fans have only last a year or two, so far this has made it most of the way through a year with no problem. Ours is on a temp sensor switch, when power is cut to the unit and then comes on the next day it comes back to the same speed setting as it was the previous day, super!

I replaced a much more expensive blower with this one. Put it in yesterday and am blown away (pun intended) at how quiet it is. I was also fairly simple to install since I have the plug in set up. The speeds are nice with the remote. I leave it on about the 3rd or 4th out of ten and that blows the hot air just fine. I highly recommend this fan and wish I'd have found this earlier. I did read about batteries going out on remote quickly, but too early to tell.

OK these things rock as far as CRM to noise ratio. Install was easy for me. I have 2 in a single zero clearance fireplace.The radio remote, although standard frequency, you can’t really get a 3rd party controller to control. Maybe multiple commands being sent. So this causes me fits with my automation. I have a zwave switch to turn it off and on as it remembers its last state, glad I was able to do that. Unfortunately there are times I would like to automate speed, this can not be done. I must get the remote and manually adjust… subtract 1.5 stars…2 will work off the same remote and frequency appears to be modifiable if this is undesirable.

Everything in this kit is exactly how it should’ve been. It does work well and it is made with quality parts. They have multiple different kits so you should be able to find what you’re looking for.

This is really a quality unit for the price with a lot of nice features.Am not using it as intended because I am not replacing a blower but adding this to act as such

This fan is much quieter than the one I replaced but the air volume is a little less. The remote control works well and it remembers the last setting. No more opening up the access panel to adjust fan speed!
