Resqme 04.100.09 Car Escape Tool, Yellow, set of 2

I bought this 2-pack so both my wife and I have one in our cars. The quality of the Resqme tool is legendary for a reason—it’s compact but feels very well-engineered. It was incredibly easy to attach to my keyring so it’s always within reach if the seatbelt jams or the windows won't open. It's a very cheap price to pay for the peace of mind knowing my family has a way out in an emergency. Every parent should have these.

Looks well made. Just hope I never need it

The Resqme 04.100.09 Car Escape Tool is compact, sturdy, and easy to use. It gives peace of mind knowing I can quickly break a window or cut a seatbelt in an emergency. Small enough to keep in my car at all times. Highly recommend!

Been thinking about one of these for a while, then caught a video on YT were a very large guy was trying smash a window from the inside, using the metal legs of seat head rest.. he did not do it easily (hit a corner of the window for best results). Not being as big as the guy in the video, I thought one of these each for my partner and myself would not be the worst purchase. I haven't tested it on a car window but it dented my chopping board, so I think they'll work fine. I also like the idea of zip tying it somewhere, you will always find it too (don't want it thrown to the back of the car in an accident)

Was not obvious to me how they break glass. Found out by testing. I tried the wrong end first. Would not be great in a life threatening situation where you might be barely concious. So put arrows with a symbol on them or something. Fitted ours behind the visor which won't close fully now. Sensible garish colour for locating them. Good value. Functionally excellent. Surprised by the shock effect on glass. This kind of tool should be required as fitted like seatbelts are and then manufacturers could design a recess so they fit well and everyone knows where to find them I reckon.

Great little tool

Arrived very quickly Hope we never have to use them - but better to be prepared

Great invention. Will shatter a car window in an emergency. Have two in the car permanently attached to the car shade. Always carry one with me on my EDC (every day carry) penknife in case I see a need for helping someone or a pet under duress in a hot or sinking car.

If you find this helpful please click the helpful button below :) I agree with the reposted reviews below: I haven’t needed to use it in an emergency but.. I did test one of these out on a large broken piece of glass in our shed just to see what would happen. It was a bit of a press, you need to really press.. but… It worked!! WILL REPURCHASE.. A lot of these other advertised window escape tools I have bought like the one that looks like a screw driver never seemed to work. I tested that on the asphalt outside and it never discharged. ORIGINAL REPOSTED REVIEWS: I can't emphasize enough how important this emergency keychain is! It's a lifesaver in unexpected situations. The built-in tools for breaking glass and cutting seatbelts are easy to use and incredibly handy in emergencies. I feel much safer knowing I have this keychain with me while driving. It's a must-have for anyone concerned about their safety on the road. Highly recommended If you’ve never had any gadgets for your car you NEED this one. I was recently in a car crash and my door jammed causing me to be stuck in the car. I used my resqme to guide me to safety and I thank God for that, along with my quick thinking this tool saved my life.

I use the resqme Car Escape Tool in emergency medical services, the fire department, and also privately, and it has proven to be extremely reliable. For such an affordable tool, it can do things that much more expensive equipment cannot. The seatbelt cutter slices through belts like butter, far better than my rescue knife. The window punch shatters car windows within seconds, quickly and effectively. The tool is very easy to use, intuitive, and ready for immediate action in emergency situations. A major advantage is that it can be used easily even while wearing thick gloves, which is incredibly helpful during real operations. Compact, lightweight, and powerful — maximum performance in a small tool. A clear 5-star recommendation for first responders and every driver.

Haven’t needed to use it and hopefully never will. Feels much safer having it on me than not. Only thing is the razor has gotten a bit rusty although it’s never been used. Not a big deal though.
