Heathen: A Dark Enemies to Lovers Romance (Redwood Rebels Book 2)

I read this in a day, it was really good. The story had me gripped from the start. I wish one part was different (won't say what as it will spoil it) but I loved how Lars was towards Willa, he showed his softer side and it was sweet. I can't wait to read the next book.

Oh hold on to your hats the Rebels are seeking revenge again and this time its Lars's turn.If you haven't read the fist book Striker then step back and read that one first as it sets the ongoing story up that will feature throughout this series.In this instalment some questions will be answered but by god some more are raised! I have no idea which way is up and I love it.I did love Lars in this one. Whilst i wanted to strangle him a few times at the beginning I did love the way he stepped up for Willa and protected her. I got quite ragey at the other boys especially Talon and Tommy in this one as Lars had done what was asked of him when it was Talon's turn but now they were going against him doing thing the way they wanted and that's not what should have happened but it all did work out in the end.I can't wait to see what happens next in the next book Vandal which I am about to start now

Absolutely loving this series this is the second book and definitely kept me hooked from the beginning. Loved lars story and unlocking all his dark secrets and finding out how he could love and move on. Twists and turns as in previous book, also some twisted villains that made me want to throw my book!!!

Another absolute cracking story from this author! I think I actually preferred this story to the first in the series and I absolutely adored that! A proper high school bully romance. It’s got love, steam, suspense and a proper story.

Ok while I’m loving this back story on what happened to Josh and who all the guys need their revenge on I’m finding it difficult to feel anything towards these guys.Lars just comes across as a heartless spoiled brat and when we learn about Colby I’m not surprised.While I liked Willa & Lars together at times I’m just not feeling that any of them belong together it’s like sex is the biggest draw to their relationship but don’t seem to have anything else between them.I really want to believe they belong together but I don’t even get the feeling the couples themselves believe they should be together.

Whilst striker hit the spot Heathen did it with its eyes closed and its arms tied behind its back!Willa and Lars couldn't be more opposite on paper, and yet somehow it works. They gel and boost each other up, assuming of course a pesky secret doesn't blow them up before they can even begin. I'll admit after Striker I didn't like Lars one bit, I kinda hated him even more at the very start of this. But he did redeem himself, and he worked hard for his redemption!I loved how the slow burning underlaying story carries on beneath the surface. Quietly winding its way into everything like mist across a field until everyone is tangled in its web. Whilst we get answers to some of the questions brought up in striker we only seem to have ended up with even more!I love the way these characters have developed together, despite being centred on Willa and Lars the other guys (and Marni of course) feature heavily. We find out more of the backstory to the pacts they've made and see why they ended up in the positions they did.That ending?! I need more!!!!

This story had so much going on with its twisty, dark plot. Deep down, I really don’t believe that Lars is a bad boy. The trauma that happened to his family deeply affected him. I loved how gentle Willa calmed him. Her goodness seeped into him and made him want to be a better person. Willa was unbelievably strong and resilient. The things she had suffered were horrible yet she was determined enough to make a plan and attempt to carry them out. The love between Lars and Willa seemed unlikely because his indifference to people around him extended towards her, but once he really saw her, he couldn’t look away. I loved that he recognised everything good in her and his desire to help and protect her. As Lars and Willa’s story progressed, there were plenty of other players thrown into the mix, which made for a hella twisty story, full of intrigue and surprises. I read as fast as I could because, seriously, the mysteries that unfolded more than piqued my interest. I feel invested in the well-being and happiness of these four guys, who’ve seen and done more than life should expect out of them at such a young age. Roll on March for Tommy’s story!

This second book in the series completely blew me away. So much happens in this book! Lars has some serious secrets and all are revealed. This is a roller coaster of craziness that you won’t want to get off of. Willa is a good girl that fell in love with a bad bad boy. Good thing he sees the error of his ways so he can get the happy ending he didn’t even know he deserved

I'm not an emotional person, so you can say it's rare when a book makes my feelings all funny. Lars and willa's story was deeply moving. The first part was full of angts, then, as the plot progress and secrets unravel your heart can't do anything but feel for them, their past. I loved this much more than the first book. Can't wait to read about Zed

Heathen was such a great read. I read the book in one day I could not put it down. I read the first book and could not wait to get this book. The plot and characters were written and flowed together smoothly. This is a dark bully romance so if you have triggers please take caution when reading this book. Both these characters were hurt and looking for the light that they needed desperately.Lars is a typical bad boy. He's good looking with a filthy mouth that would make even the prim and proper girl swoon. He's stuck in a sticky situation that we learn about in the first book. I really thought that he was such an arrogant and not redeemable by any means but as his story unraveled I started to really like him.Willow is the prim and proper God loving girl in school. She's led a very sheltered life so it seems on the outside but on the inside it's anything but that. I really felt for her. I loved her strength to deal with what she ahs been handed throughout her life. I think most of the characters thought she was weak and could be walked all over but she would just get back up and be stronger.You definitely need to read the first book to know the other characters in this book and to know what is going on with the plot. Both books are very well written and will have you on the edge of your seat turning those pages. I love how this author is continuing the story but with two different main characters. Awesome story so far!!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ich bin eigentlich davon ausgegangen, dass ich in Talon meinen neue Bookboyfriend-Obsession gefunden haben... und dann kam Lars. Er ist ja mal sowas von heiss. Un die Story, um ihn und Willa ist sooo gut geschrieben. Es ist einfach so gut gewesen, dass ich das Buch innerhalb eines Tages durch hatte. Ich liebe diese Reihe einfach jetzt schon, obwohl erst zwei von vier Bänden erschienen sind. Ich kann kaum abwarten "Vandal" lesen zu dürfen. Schon jetzt sind die Redwood-Rebels mein Highlight von 2021. Absolute Empfehlung! Rachel, you let my heart melt with every Book you write!

I love Lars, but damn this book made me love him more! The truths are coming out, and just when you think you know what's going to happen, it goes the complete opposite way! I love Willa with Lars, and I cant wait to see more of them in the next book despite them not being the main role!
