Q: Does this have both UVA and UVB protection? Does it contain any zinc oxide?

It's 100% Sunscreen. I use this product daily and I live in Arizona, never once have I been burnt. I don't see Zinc Oxide in the contents, however, there is an 800 number you could call. That is 800-715-3485. My use of the product was accidental initially. When I used it I had no intention of staying out as long as I did in the sun. I'm fair skinned and came home with a slight tan. Of the brands I've used, I like this one. I'm also a Physician Assistant (PA) and depending upon your coverage, sunscreen and sunblock are not the same. This is sunscreen.

Q: what the difference between sunscreens and sunblock ?

Sunscreen, the more commonly used type of sun protectant, filters or screens the suns UV rays-- keeping most rays out,but letting some in. On the other hand, sunblock physically reflects the suns rays from the skin, blocking the rays from penetrating the skin. Sunscreen and sunblock are both excellent forms of sun protection.
