Dirt Devil Tattoo Crimson Bouquet Bagged Canister Vacuum, SD30040BB - Corded

First, I should say that my floors are what's known as luxury vinyl tile, but they look like hardwood floors. I haven't lived with hard-surface floors since I was a child, so when I replaced my carpet with hard-surface floors, it took me much longer than I'm willing to admit to figure out how to take care of them appropriately. I spent just ridiculous amounts of money trying different cleaning mechanisms, but most of them just didn't do the trick. I have 4 dogs--2 are long-haired and shed all the time, 1 is short-haired, and the other is a poodle who doesn't shed at all. It is common for my dogs to track in mud nearly every time they come inside. With all the other floor cleaning options, I simply never felt that my floors ever got clean! Then I tried this little fellow, and WHOA what a difference it made! It has an AMAZING amount of suction, which is controllable for times when you don't want it to suck the wallpaper off the walls. It sucks up EVERYTHING on the floor--even socks if you're not careful! The only drawback, and mind you this is fairly small, is that it has a small bag. And because it does such an excellent job cleaning, that small bag fills up quickly. But the bags are easy to find and quite inexpensive. I'm so pleased with this purchase that I wish I could give it 10 stars! It's solved a plethora of problems around my house and keeps the dog hair under control. You won't regret buying this little guy. It's adorable and surprisingly powerful.

This little vacuum is perfect for a small home that does not have carpet. It takes up very little room to store, and it does a great job on hardwood, tile, laminate and area rugs. The attachments are fine for dusting and cleaning upholstery and for getting the hair off the curtains where our cats rub against them. It is light and easy to pull around and carry. The canister doesn't fall over all the time, as was the case with my previous can-vac. The retractable cord is great. I do wish the cord was just a few feet longer, but we got a short extension cord and can now vacuum our entire 1100 sq ft house from one centrally-located electrical plug. This vac's suction is very good, and it is not terribly noisy. The price is great for how good a job it does! I probably would not like it as much for a larger home or if I had carpet, but I don't think this vac is really intended for those uses. It does do a good job on our 3 low pile area rugs. The flowers on the canister are an unnecessary detail, but as long as the vac does a great job, who cares?

I bought this vacuum mainly to vacuum furniture, not carpet or floors. I already have a Dyson that does a good job on the carpets.After vacuuming my living room furniture, I can say I'm not satisfied with this unit.The good:- Good suction (also can be regulated)- Small and light- Not very noisyThe bad:- The dusting brush attachment is too thin, luckily I kept the one from my old Dirt Devil, which is much better- The hose is not as long as my previous one- The cord is also not as long as my old Dirt Devil- Lastly, and this was the deal breaker for me, the end part of the hose, where you attach the brush is rigid and curved, which makes it terribly ackward and difficult to use for dusting furniture.You have to constantly rotate and reposition the brush so you can reach certain areas in the right position. (See pictures. Third picture I had to use the old brush and turn the nozzle in just the right angle).I would definitely return it right away, unfortunately, I've read too many stories lately about Amazon banning customers after returning too many items (I've returned 3 in the last year). I don't want to risk getting banned, so I guess I'll be a sucker and just keep it.

I’ve gone through several vacuum cleaners, trying to find the right one for my needs. Finally found it. I have a small house with mostly hardwood flooring and a few throw rugs of varying sizes. I needed something light and versatile with good suction, and bagged. This is the first canister vacuum I’ve ever had.Pros:Nice and quiet, doesn’t scare the cat.Lightweight and easy to carry around, and rolls easily too.Amazing suction. First time I used it I put it on maximum power because I assumed that would be necessary to get a deep clean on my rugs. It darn near sucked them up. I had to adjust to the lowest suction setting, and that worked great. It also worked great on the bare floors.The cord is plenty long, and I love the fact that it retracts automatically. The bag is easy to replace.Cons:The wand is not long enough. I am 5‘9“, and I have to stoop when using the vacuum.The instruction manual does not match the vacuum cleaner. The manual lists an extra accessory that does not come with the vacuum. That’s because the accessory has since built into the vacuum. Also, the on/off button is not where is the manual says it is, it’s in a totally different location on the vacuum.

This vacuum is great. Was on the hunt for a bagged vaccum for specifically cleaning purpose. Works great, can adjust the suction strength. Great price
