Bargain
I bought it because I wanted a simple remote control for my Canon EOS R7 mirrorless camera when taking macro, focus bracketed shots. It's a bargain. Small, quite solid and incredibly simple to use. Just a few tips for other R7 users. First, note, that it's an infrared signal and not wifi. Don't enable wifi function, which you might be led to do when following instructions for remote control. You don't need to pair this remote control with your camera, it just needs to send a signal to the infrared sensor on the front of the camera, so the camera needs to be ready to receive the signal. After you've set up your camera (on a tripod), focus on your subject and press the Mf-n button on the front of the camera Using the control wheel, navigate to the timer icon (simple instructions on line if you don't understand what I mean). And that's it.

Much better than I expected
To be honest, I thought this would be a bit tacky as I had previously had the JJC remote control which had a proper button. Having lost it I was disappointed I could no longer the the same version but actually, I quite like this and maybe it will be even better suited for outdoor use given it is a membrane rather than a push button. It is larger and it is thinner but it works well and seems robust. I'm certainly not disappointed with what has arrived.

Cheap alternative to Canon’s product
This small (about 4 by 2cm) device provides an easy way to trigger the shutter remotely without using battery-draining Bluetooth or WiFi. It requires the camera shutter mode to be set to either 2 or 10 second delay (both settings have a remote control icon) - the shutter is then triggered by pressing the S or 2S button on the remote for immediate picture taking or after a two second delay respectively. The box claims it will work with a range of Canon cameras - it works without problems on an R5.

Works amazing !!
Been buying the same small ones for years but they break pretty often so I thought I’d try a new one , this works brilliantly right of the bat (I have a canon 600D) ! Definitely recommend :)It feels a lot more sturdy !

Can't get it to work properly with the Sony A9
I followed the instructions and it's got a brand new battery in it. It fired once using the S button and once using the 2S button with multiple failed attempts in between. It hasn't worked again since. All attempts were with the Sony A9. I only received it today. Not very good.

Functional but slow to take photos
Works just fine, its an IR beam so you need line of sight, the main issue I have is that there is a significant wait period between photos. The camera seems to ignore the shutter button press until it is ready

Everything you need, from quite a distance.
As I said in the title, it’s got every button you might need. I bought this to use it with a Sony a6500, and it does just that. Works great. You can navigate the menu with ease, see your photos and use remote trigger with no issues. I’ve used it from distances of probably 3-4 metres and did the job. Though you may need to point it better at those distances it works, which is what it should do! Now don’t expect it to be extremely responsive, it’s an IR blaster, won’t be able to do bird photography with it, but for your long exposures, landscape photography or self-portrait/group photography, it’s great. I mean, group photography? Who am I kidding. We’re in terrible times.Anyways, some brands like original manufacturer’s remotes are stupidly expensive. I’ve seen remotes go for hundred pounds! This, for this little money? No-brainer.
