Its easy and accurate to use
I didn’t even need to read the directions which I recommend you do. Easy and accurate as to what the expensive models are. A wonderful item and buy.

Works as it should and it’s cheap
Seemed to have all the features of the devices 2-3x the price, so figured to give it a try. It works exactly as it should. Read the code correctly (same as at the local garage) and also gave the short text description. Instructions aren’t great (actually kinda bad) but you can eventually figure it out on your own. A good $13 purchase.

I Love This Thing
This thing is easy to use. So easy, I didn't even read the directions. I bought a 2002 Cavalier with 100,800 miles on it. No kidding. The Check Engine light came on. I ordered this, took it out of the box and plugged it into the port (which is usually under the steering column). I got the codes (it gets power from the car battery), pressed some buttons, told me it was Emission Control. Not a shocker. The car's 18 years old and not driven much. The hoses get small leaks. So I pushed a button and cleared the Check Engine light. Cool. It's got real time data, too. Don't ask me why, but every car I've ever had (since the 70's) the speedometer goes out. Doesn't matter if it's a needle or digital. I use the tach to know my speed. The real time data shows you RPM so I checked it against the gauge to see how accurate the tachometer gauge was (for future reference in case my speedometer stops working).

Works great
After what seemed like hours comparing the various smartphone ODB2 readers available on amazon, which all seemed to have one issue or another whether it was working at all, incompatibility with iOS/Android, loss of connection, waiting forever to read a code, or requiring some questionable third party app to even use, I decided to try this to see why my Service Engine Soon light came on. Worked perfectly on my 2013 Ford F150 Raptor, read the code as it should (in my case P2098, which was a stored code because the SES light went back out), and even tells you a short description (for me lean bank 2, which I had to search online to learn is just an O2 sensor error). Sure you could just go to Autozone and get the code read for free, but A) I'm about a 30-minute drive from there (and could be in the middle of nowhere next time the SES light comes on) and B) they won't clear the code for you, which this unit does if you want it to. Plus it'll read some real-time data if you're into that kind of thing. All in all, I highly recommend this tool, works perfectly.

Perfect !
This was just what I needed ! My dip husband drove my x3 up north without putting the gas cap back on. Of course the check engine light went off .. took it to auto zone who scanned and said it was emissions leak due to the cap being off for so long . Told me to drive over 500 miles and the light should reset ... well of course it didn’t and it was driving me crazy. Figured I’d get this to see what it said in case something more was going on . Once I plugged it in the exact same emissions code came on. I was able to reset the code and now the light is off !!! Definitely worth it if you own your car and plan on driving it to the ground . I don’t always have time to get it scanned at auto zone and the nearest dealer is 40 min away.

A must buy for any home Mechanic
If your just like me and you have a older car that you have to work on every once in a while and you get tired of running to the local parts store or Mechanic shop just to find out why your engine light is on then you will love this thing easy to use you can check your codes erase your codes and see freez frame data to help you figure out what's wrong with your car and fix it I keep mine in the center console so when I need it it's there for the price you won't be disappointed

Very useful product for the price.
I had a number of issues with my Jag X350 which I thought might be ABS sensor related.Having changed the sensor myself I bought this item specifically to clear the codes and error messages on my dash as my regular OBD ( which was 8 times more expensive than this ) was out on loan to my son ( thoughts on me ever seeing that again !! )..... I plugged it in a saw the codes but it wouldn't erase - Error, can't erase codes. I tried a few times and used some choice language but when I unplugged and started the engine the codes had magically disappeared..... I don't know if it was a glitch but it was job done for me so quite happy.
