Chemical Guys EQP_1500W - Extractor Durrmaid Basic 1500 Hot Water Extractor & Vacuum with Tools

I really enjoy using this machine. Compared to my larger extractor this one holds its own. The unit heats up quick and has great suction. I personally wish it had a larger tank. It's also very loud.

Out of the box I had to tighten fittings in order to minimize leaks. There are still some, but it's usable.After having it for about a month, all of the brass fittings on the hot water line are starting to corrode.The extractor does alright for cleaning. Works well on split drinks in cars but not so well at brightening carpets. The spray path for the hot water is not wide enough. If you only make one pass you are left with strips in the carpet showing where the hot water was sprayed and where it was not.The drain plugs fall out easily and one has gotten lost already.I wish I had never purchased this machine. I'm going to try to contact the manufacturer and see if they can send new brass fittings and a new drain plug.

Works great when it works. Several of the large round o-rings haven't wanted to stay in, now missing one and not sure how to get a replacement. It's randomly stopped working twice, and now it's got a leak out of the bottom. I just checked and my return date expired yesterday. I'd be happy if I can get an o-ring and fix the leak. Need to find out who to contact.5/14/14 Update: Still no resolution. Amazon return/exchange expired, still trying to get their assistance. Called Chemical Guys (after every e-mail was returned to all their addresses) and they told me I had to contact Amazon. I told them amazon couldn't help me so I had to call the manufacturer.. she spelled it "duramaid" and said I'd have to google it. They didn't have contact information. It's actually "durrmaid" and I'm having issues finding their contact information as well. I really do regret this purchase and I kick myself for taking a couple extra days to try to contact them without sending it back. I hate people automatically returning items because of an issue without at least trying to have it repaired.. but that's what I get.5/27/2014 Update: Amazon customer service responded with my inquiry by immediately sending out another unit and I swapped the unit out and sent the failed one back. Quick and painless, that's what I always love working with Amazon. Used the new one for a week now and no issues thus far. Hopefully this one will last longer than a month. When it's working I think it's between 4 and 5 stars. I'm now giving it three since I had a 1 on the first and hopefully a 5 on the second. If the sceond unit holds up, I'll likely update to a 4.

Good for vehicles and small rugs. A little disappointed in the spray force of the nozzle, but still a good little unit.

I was i could give this negative stars. I have had nothing but problems from this machine. It's warranty sucks. The wheels have fallen off. I have had to replace a switch fix a wire that was burnt up and grounding its self out. It just sucks do not buy this machine. It is a complete headache.

Heats quickly works great- good suction power-a bit noisy but sure does the job!Had a small problem with a leak- but I called and they handled quickly- great service!
