Über Maxi Scooter

Even though I purchase a lot from Amazon, I am not in the habit of writing a review unless it's particularly poor or good. This time though I felt compelled to write a review. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Not only the scooter is great (it looks like a micro scooter's twin) but the service is amazing...When I bought the scooter I thought it would be a cheap knockoff of a micro scooter. However scooter itself glides great and afte a year of using I can confirm that this is not a cheap knockoff but a strong, sturdy scooter in it's own. As good as the micro scooter, with the added benefit of being neon green which mean I can spot it easily (and so would the car should my daughter decide to cross without me). What stands it apart is the service. I made a mistake when ordering and ordered the wrong colour, I contacted the seller and a swap was promptly arranged. My daughter wanted to have different coulours for the handbag grips and when I asked for compatibility, I was pleasantly surprised by complimentary handebars grips of different colours.What prompted the review though is something rather common to all scooters (we had the mini micro scooters before suffered the same problem): after a year of usage the metal spring that make the handle go back in the middle automatically broke... A quick googling led me to the micro spwebsite and the spring (called "b spring") was available for purchase for £3.95. I contacted the seller and asked about compatibility before I made the purchase, to my amazement, they responded 'no problem, we'll send you a new one' and true to their words a few days later I received the spring. I could not be more pleased with the purchase and I have already recommended this scooter to several of my friends. Thank you so much to the customer service, in particular Nigel who has been very pleasant.

This is brilliant. Bought as a birthday gift for a very tall 4-year old (height of a 6 year old), who was absolutely blown away with it. It's been used almost daily for the last 9 months and is holding up well. We previously had the mini micro but couldn't justify the expense for the branded one when sizing up, and having bought this, I am glad we didn't. This one's really done the trick. Still not cheap, but great quality, and good value for the product and its functionality. Highly recommended.

This is almost identical to the "proper" branded scooter (we have one of those too), but half the price!

Fantastic scooter! easy to put together, as just only two parts. Extremely similar to a leading brand. My daughter is 5 and uses on lowest setting so plenty of room for growth. Really pleased with it.

My 5 year old loves this scooter after out growing her last scooter that had a 20kg weight limit.

I am so pleased with this scooter!We were looking at the more expensive, top of the range scooter but couldn’t justify that amount of money!I found this scooter and it’s almost identical for half the price!It’s brilliant, such a smooth ride!Looks really smart too!

I bought it for son. As his big sister already has MicroMaxi. I put next to each and the difference is ..... where?? tiny few micro mark on the board , on the bar and head plate stickers. The price is less then half ! I did good shopping.

Fab scooter ! Easy to put together & it's very sturdy. My 4 year old can whizz about & the break is very handy too! At a reasonable price compared to the leading well known brand I would recommend this one as you can't tell the difference !

Was not sure about buying this one or the other from a more expensive brand.What I can say about this one is that it is pure quality.

Bought for Grandson, seems to be a reasonable quality and the price was competitive. Recent purchase so cannot say how long it will last.
