TripNeeds Micro Advanced Digital Luggage Scale 50kg Capacity

Light and easily packable, this is a terrificly useful balance. I had a luggage scale previously (which I gave to a relative) but it was heavier and more awkward to use. The TripNeeds scale is well priced, easy to use, and all together more compact.

I like this item a lot, nice and neat for taking it away with you. I've used it for two holiday and it has been very accurate comparing it with airport scales. Excellant product highly recommended, Could save you un-nessary baggage charges.

My scales look exactly like the photo, but do not function quite as advertised in that there is no audible "beep" when the scales lock, so the screen needs to be checked instead. The instructions say the screen will blink when the weight has locked, this does not happen either, instead a small and difficult to read "H" appears. The whole point of the "beep" is that you don't have to look at the screen when holding the luggage.The battery was difficult to fit as the small holder did not push back into the body easily, and the advertised spare was not supplied.No idea yet how reliable or accurate they are. [2014-01-04 edit: Finally checked at airport and came out within about .1 kg for three bags around 20kg, errors were to over-read. I was impressed.]2014-01-01 More: One problem is that when you hold the bags so that you can see when the "H" appears it is not easy to keep the scales steady so that the display stops changing and locks, so it is almost easier to simply take the "average" of the changing figures, which kind of defeats the purpose of a lock function. Maybe I'm just not steady enough.A pity as these looked like the best of the bunch when I compared them to the others (in this price range).Also the journey from Hong Kong took over six weeks total, ie two weeks longer than advertised, they were despatched promptly though. Other similar parcels from Hong Kong have arrived much more quickly.I've checked with another seller and they say that their scales do not "beep when locked", so it would seem the description may be wrong.

Worked well first time.Inserting the battery required some thought but apart from that the instructions were very clear. The readout is not backlit so might be an issue in some lighting conditions but for the price it's great value for money.

I bought this to replace old scales. From the start i was concerned at the very poor battery life then literally the day before i was due to fly it died totally.I did not find it easy to hold and view and only give it one star as i have re-used the strap. The only worthwhile bit on these scales.

This item arrived very quickly, and was well packaged, but I was surprised that the battery was already fitted. I chose this design because of the T Bar handle design, making it possible to use both hands to lift a heavy case. It is simple to use, easily attached to the suitcase handle, reasonably quick in operation, and the digital readout is easy to read. However, it appears to record 1Kg lighter than the actual weight of the case (at 20Kg), which could have resulted in my paying out excess baggage, if I had not checked its accuracy. It is light enough to take with you, to check your cases, for the return journey. Overall, I would say that I am satisfied with this purchase.

Only just received this item.I think that a month is a tad long to wait on delivery. If I’d known it was coming from Asia, I would not have bothered. Not used as yet as the main purpose of the product was to weigh our cases prior to boarding our flights, guess what.. too late, way too late.If you need to weigh your luggage quickly buy from within the UK.

I once paid overweight for an excess of 100g, so I needed a better way to weight my hand luggage than the bathroom scale.This is cheap and probably not the most exact scale, but it does the job and until now confirms all the values that I measured.As an extra this is fitted with a thermometer, and you can change easily the units from metric to imperial.
