Nice simple universal remote control with nice large basic control buttons . Purhased for elderley person who found it very simple and straightforward to use. Reasonablly easy to set up following the instructions. Overal a good product , deducted a star due to the fact on the odd occassion its sort of resets itself so I have to go through the set up process again. Not a major issue and the fact it does help the person concerned use the TV and they are very happy with it , I dont have an issue reprogramming it now and then. The good far outweighs the slight negative.

I purchased this remote for my mum, as she keeps forgetting which buttons are what on her TV remote. You will need to buy your own batteries and the only instructions are on the listing. I followed the instructions but the remote failed to learn the channel button, so was no use to my mum. The remote learnt all the other buttons just wouldn't do the channel.I have given 3 stars as this could just be for the remote I was trying to get it to work with, and will hopefully work for others better than it did for me.

This infra-red remote comes simply packaged with no batteries or instructions so the first thing I did was put in two AAA batteries of my own and look up the instructions on the listing page.The remote is simple to use - hold power and channel up then release to enter programming mode, press the button you want to program (the remote has seven buttons) and then point your remotes together and hold down the button on the remote you are copying from. I found it easy as the remote flashes in different ways during the process so you can see if something did or didn't register and when you time out, which I did a few times.I had no trouble programming every button so now the ones on the left control my soundbar (power and volume) while the ones on the right control my TV (aspect ratio, volume and AV input). I could have done with a few more buttons (e.g. navigation and OK) but it's still a very useful setup, giving me quick access to my most-used remote functions when I'm watching a movie.Overall I'm very happy with this remote. It seems well-made, works perfectly and has a good range. I already own a more advanced universal remote but for casual use I prefer the simplicity of this one.If you are looking to duplicate 7 functions or less from your existing infra-red TV remote then I'm happy to recommend this programmable remote but I wasn't impressed that mine did not come with instructions.
