Woodturning Wizardry

Lots of great ideas, something for every woodworker, but also more advanced woodworking instruction too. good print size, quick delivery, great present for the man who loves working with wood.

I found this manual so clearly written with excellent photographs enabling me to get started onto intricate turnings right away. There is no need to read through the entire book. Just flick through the pictures, choose one you like, and get started. Not for the beginner (or indeed, the faint-hearted) but this manual is proof that, with a little perseverance and a lot of patience, your wood turning can climb to the next level. Excellent clear book.

Looks like a good informative project book for the avid Wood Turner in your life. I am not a wood turner, but know a man who is, so this is a gift for him - a challenge to see if he can do some of the projects in this book.

i bought this for Christmas for my Dad. He really loves it. It is not for the beginner wood turner, some amazing ideas in it with step by step instructions in it, great amount of pictures aswell.

You’d need a lot of skill to create these designs but it’s a good book to look at for exquisite ideas

Bought as a present for brother in law who has recently got himself a lathe. Haven’t read the book myself but seems well received.

I just had to know how they did that kind of turning! So I bought the book. It's not for beginners (like me!), but it is something that I'll return to as my skills develop. In a sense I bought this book before I was ready, but it will help to inspire me as my skills grow. It's beautifully done and the range of pictures and instructions is broad. The ingenious use of jigs also stands out. I think this is a book that will come off my shelf over and over as years go by.

My Grandfather does a lot of woodturning, and this book seemed like an excellent fit for him. It definitely touches on more advanced techniques, and this book is not for beginners. But for those looking for a challenge or a project to work on, this might be the book for you! Very detailed calculations, tips, and commentary. Pictures are in full color and the print quality is good.
