Grounding
Even though the microinverter that this one isreplacing is grounded, this one does not need grounding (Enphase support told me), thus the IG at the end of the model number. It works great even if the model numbers don't exactly match.

Doesn't work with envoy as advertised.
I purchased and installed this unit to replace an enphase m215 inverter that squirrels chewed. It doesn't show up on my envoy as described, so I don't know if it's even working. I've posted a question for support and have received no support. Past time now to return. If you want to risk ordering a unit, be sure to install and try it out before return deadline. Hoping the seller will read this review and provide the requested technical support.

Call your Solar Installation Company before repairing.
This will not reports to your monitoring system if solar system was installed by a professional company.Inverter serial number has to be added to your system and the old serial number removed. Most inverters have a Warranty.Call your installer. If under warranty the labor and parts could be covered. If you had a system installed and they went out of business, the part may be covered, but you will have to pay for the labor. Also you could install the next version of the inverter as in my case.So I returned the inverter I purchased. Texas Solar Guys turned in the serial numbers that showed bad and to Enphase to get RMA’s to be returned.I paid the labor and they installed the inverters. The labor was about the same as I would have paid for the two older inverters and I did not have to get back up on my 2 story house.Call your installer first.
