My parents bought a pikler climbing set for my toddler for Christmas, but his penchant for finding new ways to endanger his life made me feel really uneasy about it. I therefore wanted to buy some padding for the inevitable leaps to death that would ensue. Originally I was going to buy one of the mats I’d seen at IKEA but with Christmas looming and my local IKEA being next to a sizeable shopping centre, I didn’t fancy being stuck in traffic and frankly I don’t have the time, patience or will power to walk around IKEA without purchasing things I never knew I wanted or needed. Essentially, laziness brought me here, which is where I found this solution. It was the same price as the one I was going to purchase but double the width. I bought the one with the road patterns on so it doubled as a car play mat too, and a o far it’s been brilliant. Easy to wipe clean, folds away easily, no catastrophic injuries, and he has somewhere to play with his toy cars too. Winner.

Really neat play mat. Because it’s really compact when folded, it’s easy to take around (can fit in a backpack but will be the only thing that fits as it’s thick), It’s thinner than a rug when out flat. Good for babies, can drool on them as much as they want and it’s easy to wipe up! Will order a second one soon…

This playmat was just what I wanted for my 5 month old grandson. It is really thick but soft for him to lay on and very easy to fold up and store away. It also easily wipes clean. It is so good I have now bought the larger version as he is now moving round and needs more space. Would thoroughly recommend.

Bit small but good for the money.

I bought this mat as an easy to travel option when attending baby groups. I found it light weight, easy to fold and has a very cute design. The mat does fit in the under buggy basket, at an angle and is easy to hold. Another reason I bought this was due to my baby’s excessive dribbling and reflux. I found that I was also washing the softer material play mats and needed something much easier and quicker to clean. This is definitely an option. It wipes down well, hasn’t had any damages and the pattern still appears new. My only fault (very minor) is that that folds are slightly more changing to clean but the product is still worth it. I found that keeping the mat flat and runner a cloth down the folds made it easier to clean. I turned up to group with this mat and everyone loved. When I attended the following week, two of the parents had bought it too. I’d recommend it for sure.
