Easy to screw on, no leaks, can cut knowing tanks won't blow up, easy to see directional arrow.
I screwed these on my oxygen and acetylene hoses just before the torch and they fit nice and snug, didn't have any leaks. I can now rest assured that when I cut steel, I am doing it knowing that the tanks won't blow up due to a flashback. Please remember to check the direction on the arrestors as they are directional, there is an arrow that is clearly marked on both pieces.

Completed Husband's Homemade Torch Set-Up
My husband wanted a fancy torch setup for over 10-years. We've held out and tried to save money but to no avail. That said, he decided to build his own from the ground up.A full torch kit runs around 1k, so he started a budget project with no acetylene, but rather oxy & propane (yes he can!).The goal was first, easier, tighter plumbing work with BRAZE and without burning down a building. He of course had other goals with this project that included:The ability to silver sauter aluminium coils on HVAC and automobiles; to preheat miscellaneous materials for metal work and bending; for fastener removal; and lastly, for a fine pencil flame for jewelry work and electronic device repair. It took 6-months of collecting piece by piece while researching different products and measurements, and lots of trial and error. The results: a portable oxy/propane jewelers torch with a rosebud tip.The flashback arrestors were the final two parts he needed to complete his budget project. He is quite pleased with his handiwork and said it came out better than expected and exactly suited for his various needs (see pics).
