for those of us who are a certain age this is fantastic , a must have for a fan

So beautifully detailed, I can't even begin! The attention to detail is brilliant. I primarily wanted this for art reference, but it's full of interesting trivia too. If you're a fan of Capt Scarlet it is worth every penny.

Another brilliant Haynes manual for the avid fan of Captain Scarlet. All vehicles are here as well as character breakdowns and also a number of missions are looked at. My only niggle, as with all books of this type is the way that they spread the cutaways over two pages so you cannot see it very well where the pages meet in the middle unless you break the spine open which ruins the book. I would prefer pullouts of the larger vehicles such as Cloud Base so you can really have a good look at the various areas and work gone into the cutaway itself. Still an amazing book and well worth it.

Lovely artwork from the highly talented Mr. Graham Bleathman. Kind of disappointed that it wasn't a hardback, like the previously released Thunderbirds manual.

The Haynes Captain Scarlet manual is absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail is great. Now waiting fot the Captain Scarlet the vault to arrive and complete my collection.

Suprised that it was paperback and not hard back,but the content made up for it. A great fan of Anderson s works I own thunderbird ,ufo ,terra hawks and new captain scarlet on blue ray I'm slightly disappointed there is no sign of the original puppet series of captain Scarlett and the mysteries on blue ray .eagerly waiting for the Scarlett vault book

Buyer beware, this is not a Hardback edition as Amazon are still stating However, great book and would make a fantastic Christmas present for any Captain Scarlet fan.

50 years later, the background of Spectrum can be revealed! I remember running home after classes in Grade School, to watch this show. Now, Haynes explores the series in details, that I could only dream of. Along with the tech of Spectrum, they also give details, into the Zero -X , which was introduced in Thunderbirds Are Go! I am always impressed in how the Haynes Manuals open up more of the Media Related world, and hope they continue so (I have seen T-Shirts of covers of manuals they should do, like Firefly, Doctor Who, and Space Cruiser Yamato, which I hope they take the hints). This book, as well as the one they did for International Rescue/Thunderbirds, brought back pleasant memories.

Absolutely superb! If you love Captain Scarlet and all the great design work of Derek Meddings and Mike Trim, you need this book. Beautifully illustrated with all the information on the world of Captain Scarlet that fans crave. My only complaint is that the publisher did not release a hardcover version as they did with the previous Thunderbirds book.

With all the details it is fantastic. As a modeler and scratch builder it gives a lot of details to the items.

I watched all the Gerry A derson shiws that came to Canada in the sixties. I had a Little Golden Book about Supercar, Lady Penelope's Rolls Royce, the green Thunderbird, Joe 90's car, and three if the Captain Scarlett vehicles. All the cars were heavy and big, not Dinky tiys. But Captain Scarlett came along when U was most attentive. I even had a Captain Scarlett annual, when those were published un England, and made their way to Canada. One of the things I stupidly got a few years later. This book has a !ot from the annual. Not the comic strips and stories from the annual, but the background information about Spectrum staff ( thkugh I remember the blurb about Captain Green saying he'd made a small radio telescope in his spare time). But most if all, informatiin abkut the vehicles. This book is more detaiked, drawings and info, but includes things like the submarine tbat weren't in the annual. More than I need, it's hard to believe this is published fifty years after the show, and only $20 . About ten years ago I bought a book about Major Matt Mason, and it was from a minor publisher, and cost more than $20. You don't really need this book, but it's cheap and fun to have.
