Not up to the job
I'm a mountain leader in the English Lake district and intended to use the boots both around the paths and lanes at home and in the fells. However the sole began to detach after only 6 weeks of light walking. After contacting the manufacturer and supplier with a photo I received no replies. I've since tried a repair with glue.I cannot recommend these boots because neither the product or corresponding customer service are up to scratch.

Great boot, poor quality build
Brilliant boot to wear, but sole began to tear away from upper very quickly. Due to current circumstances, lockdown, the boots have not been used excessively or even to my normal level. However, holes have appeared on both boots at the side where shoes naturally bend and crease. A bit rich in an almost £200 boot. Update on customer service. Downright appalling. Vivobarefoot attempted to shift blame to Amazon. Amazon fulfilled their part of the deal in exemplary fashion. Vivobarefoot are responsible for the manufacture and build of the boots. And that is where the problems occurred.

Bad quality leather. Cracking after 3 months
Very poor quality leather and started breakingdown after 3 months of use. I would have expected better quality with the extortionate amount I paid for the boots! . The leather is cracking even with the high upkeep (waxing, removing mud ect...) used for walking the paved street and very minimal hill walk (which is what they are designed for?). Not happy at all with this product. The vivobarefoot trainers are great but would never buy boots again.

AVOID
An expensive mistake. After 9 months light indoors wear:- sole almost worn through- sides have split well away from the leather in multiple placesWe contacted customer services several times to try to resolve the issues but they were unhelpful and then simply stopped replying.I saw other reviews with the same problems and ignored them before buying - it was an expensive mistake. I’ve bought from vivobarefoot before but never, ever again.Avoid avoid avoid.

These are well below my expectations from Vivobarefoot
Unbelievably comfortable when paired with injinji socks and darn tough socks.Very disappointed though as I my wife and I set ut to do the west highland way a 96 mile walk and fortunately I packed a spare spare of boots due to taking heid of other people's reviews. The boot kept my feet dry through the rain but noticed on day one about 18 miles into our 20 mile walk the glue on both boots was failing. Absolutely ridiculous for a boot that costs £190. I switched to my 8 year old £30 Adidas terrex which were not as comfortable but kept me dry and stayed in tact for the duration of the walk. Gutted to be honest as I am a massive fan of vivobarefoot shoes and currently own 4 other pairs and have had zero issues with them.Sort it out Vivo you should call all these back and go back to the drawing board.

Superb.
These are superb. Have had a few pairs of Vivo's now, and all in size 10. Necer had a problem- they're meant to be roomy, that the whole point, letting your natural foot pattern spread after years of squishing it in a wierd non foot-shaped shoe. Just wear diff thicknesses if socks and you'll be fine. The Trackers are real quality and have taken em out on all sorts of terrain and love feeling the ground beneath my feet. My hikes are all the better for the connect and would recommend these to anyone. Transitioning to barefoot style shoes can take months, so go slow and build up, if these are a first barefoot style pair.... but worth it. So light, totally waterproof and will go anywhere.

Better grip on sole is needed but good buy👌
The boot is well made and very comfortable as all vivo barefoot are, but I was disappointed with the sole as regards grip when walking, not so bad on dry ground but as regards wet grassy hills there a nightmare, I slipped twice and landed on my ass my first time walking in them. Other then that great product.

Poor quality and very poor service from seller
Very disappointed with these. Great fitting shoe but very poor quality. Sole came off after only couple of months. Not what you would expect from boots for nearly £200 !!!I have notified the seller who wasn't helpful at all. However, Vivo themselves were helpful and agreed to exchange my shoes! I was thrilled about this but in the end after contacting Vivo several times and waiting for 8 weeks in total without shoes (I had to send them off) or money I gave up.By some miracle Vivo have refunded my money despite claiming that this was not possible. Glad to have my money back at least but this was the last time I shopped at Vivo Barefoot or Legend Footwear. Very appalling service and footwear :(
