Ornate stone small owl garden ornament figurine

Ordered two of these owls they came well packed when I opened them up what a surprise they look like bronze owls.I have them as door stops for my conservatory they look great.

Perhaps it is a fraction smaller than I thought it would be, but this moulded reconstituted stone owl looks every bit as good as it does in the photo. This is listing is for a 15" high owl - Geoff's Garden Ornaments also make a larger 30" and a 4 foot high owl of similar design on a plinth if you are interested (see a photo of them on his eBay listing, costing £90 and £150 respectively). Our family all prefered the bronze version of this 15" owl over the white finish alternative as it looks just like a metal casting and has a more subdued effect in the garden. I bought ours direct from Geoff's Garden Ornaments via his eBay listings for £45.90 including delivery (since gone up to £55). The owl came sealed in plastic wrap and protected inside a large cardboard box with a lot of foam. I kept it packaged and unwrapped for a few weeks in the shed and gave it to the wife on her birthday as delivered. It was so well packed I was confident that it would undamaged, and it was in perfect condition.My wife loved it and it's now in the garden. A great gift as it looks far more expensive than it was and usefully doesn't add to the household clutter indoors. Although quite heavy, even with a bad back I could just about stagger with the box unaided and the delivery man carried it to the doorstep (larger stone items from Geoff's Garden Ornaments definitely need a friend or two's help to lug the box about after delivery).This 15" owl is made from ground up stone bits and concrete I guess, with the concrete colour being brown with white flecks of stone on the base underside. The outer surface of the owl is a very smooth bronze coated finnish that seems quite tough provided you don't accidently hit it with garden implements. From experience with similar coated ornaments this finish will peel/craze eventually, but that takes many many years. Nice imposing item, and a great price so 5*. Our owl leans a tiny bit to the left so it isn't quite so stable on level concrete without a small wedge or two, but if we put the owl into a flower bed we'd have no problems leveling it. Six months on and he's as good as new (see photo).
