KnitPro Symfonie Crochet Hook Set Tunisian, Multi-Color

I have knit pro circular needles and now Tunisian hook set. I really like them, they are smooth and easy to use. I am only a beginner with Tunisian crochet but find these much easier to use than the knitting needle type of hook.

I bought this Tunisian crochet hook set after having bought a cheap bamboo set with horrible flexible cables. I tried using those for a year and I just thought it would be worth spending some extra money on a better set to give the Tunisian crochet a proper go.This set was recommended by Staci Perry of Very Pink Knits YouTube channel for her Tunisian blanket.I was extremely pleased with this product: here are some of the pros and cons:PROS:The hooks come in a good range from 3.50mm to 8.00mm, with 5 cords of different lengths and an abundance of keys and stoppers. The wood is beautifully smooth and had a sort of sheen to it that allow even my most cheap acrylic yarn to glide along it. The connections between the cords and the hooks are also extremely smooth and snag free. Overall I would say the whole set smacks of excellent craftsmanship and quality.CONS: I am not used to using crochet hooks without a thumb rest; for the smaller size hooks its not so much an issue but for larger sizes it can take some getting used to. Also the 'case' or rather plastic pack left a lot to be desired. For the price, I definitely think something of some quality would have been far more appropriate.

I bought the normal Tunisian hooks but decided to buy these ones too so I could do the Afghan in one go. So glad I did, easy to hold and the yarn glided on smoothly on the hook. Will probably use these with normal crochet too.I would recommend these to anyone for their first (and maybe only) set of hooks. Only down side is the packaging, but I bought a nice bag (personalised) to keep all my hooks and accessories in, which makes them perfect. Well worth the price.

It is used for general crotcheting, hats blankets scarves etc.

These are beautifully made Tunisian crochet hooks. A joy to use. The extensions fit on tightly and stay secure. Why only 3 *? Unfortunately the hook sizes are only printed on the end of the hook and with use rub off very quickly. So disappointing as these are so beautiful. Also, the case they come in is just cheap plastic. Such a shame.

I purchased this item after reading all reviews I agree they are very nice to work with I agree with reviews who commented that some hooks were blunter than others I found that the 4.5mm hook hade a very shallow hook and found it difficult to catch yarn when pulling yarn through chains or loops it may be that the hooks are a lot finer and not as bulky as steel hook they are very light and It took me a while to get use to them
