Acronis the Fastest and Easiest True Image Backup Service Software for PC

Got this thinking it was 2018 but its actually 2016 just it doesn't say on the packaging

I have used Acronis products for many years to backup earlier versions of windows to my NAS. With the inception of Windows 10 I found that it included a perfectly useable system backup, until it came to my OEM laptop that hangs on restart and no matter what fixes I have tried totally refuses to back up. I thought the Acronis 2017 version with all its bells and whistles was expensive overkill as I hardly ever used them in the past versions. I just needed to make a safe system image and file back up to enable me to try to repair the system. I followed the instructions sent to me and found I had the 2016 version. I have now managed to back up everything. Whether I am able to restore the system to the fully working condition remains to be seen but at least it’s a pleasing start.

THis is Acronis True image 2016 not the latest version. This has meant me spending 45 minutes trying to activate it with no success and only finding out eventually what was wrong with the help of an acronis support technician.Acronis is reputed to be one of the best back up software packages around and I don't doubt that.But the acronis website is insanely complicated and very un user freindly

Quite honestly - I was very surprised it worked so easily.Used on a Samsung NP350 Laptop core i3When I read you cannot clone a Laptop HDD to an SSD on a USB cable - I thought I had bought a dud.Firstly, this is just a code. Register the program and you get a serial number and have to download the software yourself.I must admit for speed of use, supply a DVD chaps!Anyhow you make a BOOTABLE DVD or CD-ROM disc, which you must supply.you can make a bootable USB stick, but my 4 year old Samsung won't boot from a USB Stick, but it does have USB 3. Weird.Then you enter the BIOS and make sure the option to boot from a DVD disc or USB stick is at the top of the list.The technique is to use a separate external HDD - luckily I have an older drive in an external box, with which you use Acronis to do a disc backup too.Then you swap the laptop HDD for the SSDThen boot from the DVD disc containing Acronis and perform a restore from the same external Drive you made the back-up to.My Laptop did not recognise the new SSD.In Acronis Tools (which takes a while to boot and load from, there is a tools menu, it can set the SSD with two options, an MBR boot table is the most useful, d that, go back to Restore and the SSD appears.Start the backup, make lunch. Drink tea.About 90 minutes later it's done.I was very surprised I didn't have a painful experience, true you need some more kit than just this software, but the fact it worked and copied all the licence keys over was unexpected.Win 10MS Office, enterprise (full)Paint Shop Proall went over just fine and so did all my documents.The Samsung core i3 laptop now boots in 8 seconds and resumes from sleep in 2 seconds!Tip buy an external 2.5" plastic case for the removed HDD and it will plug into the USB socket giving you a spare backup drive. Simple.

I Have mostly samsung gadgets, after downloading Acronis, it ended up on my tablet as against my laptop which is no use to me whatsoever, and no option to change it once installed, so wasted my money

Received this great big piece of cardboard very promptly from the seller. Once registering with Acronis and loading the code up contained within this pack (on the white credit card sized bit of plastic), you'll get a serial number e-mailed to you, you'll then be able to download the Acronis True Image 2016 version from your Acronis Members area, and install, enter the serial number and away you go.This product doesn't entitle you to the 2017 version, but it looks as though it is fully functioning for Win10 under the 2016 version, and is still being supported/updated by Acronis I mention this because I wasn't really sure what version I was buying 2016 or 2017, but knowing 2016 would do the job for me

My hard drive was failing and so need to transfer the contents onto a new hard drive. I came across this software after doing some research but there is a new version which is same name but 2016. But this was selling at over £30 so decided to buy this instead as I thought there would not be too many differences. This purchases gives you an activation code to go to the Acronis web site and download and then install the software. I was surprised then when it allowed me to download the 2016 version of this software which installed and registered fine. All codes sent by email etc. With the software installed, I proceeded to Clone my drive as that is the function I needed from the many options this software gives. Although very slow getting going selecting the source drive, then the destination drive, in my case a USB connected drive, it eventually restarted the computer and did the job. Took several hours as I have a 2TB hard drive with 1.5TB of software and files on it. Once finished, the software closed my computer down where I subsequently exchanged the hard drives and it worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this software for copying, backing up and cloning drives. Mine was actually purchased and fulfilled by Amazon from Putra UK at a very good price although I can see it is selling slightly cheaper now.

Logged onto Acronis website and typed in the Personal Activation code I was given. Waited for an activation email to let me go and download the software . Waited and waited and waited . Went back onto the site and completed the whole thing again. Still nothing. Nothing in my spam or Junk ..... nothing at all .. Cant evaluate the product as its setup is terrible .......
