are they fully dishwasher proof and show those awful rust marks after going through the dishwasher?

I have seen no evidence of any rust. Understand that they won't win a design award but are better than plastic or your hands. I want mine to hold up for 5 months and my guess is they would make it for 5 years. Buy without fear.

Nice cutlery, at a nice price.

Always loved IKEA cutlery, knives have a decent edge and the forks are a good length as I can't stand huge long prongs. Modern looking and very good quality at a very good price.
