Easy to pick up and learn family tile placement game
Chocoly is a game of competitive tile placement, where your goal is to create the largest region of your flavor of chocolate while simultaneously trying to sabotage your opponents. While the mechanics are different, the gameplay feels a bit like the classic Blokus, because you're always thinking several turns ahead on how to block others' progress while making the most of the constraints on the gameboard. Chocoly also has a neat mechanic by which you can change a few tiles per game, which can completely change who's in the lead and gives the game an element of unpredictability.Packaging wise, this is pretty straightforward: it comes in a smallish box that won't take up a lot of space in your board game cabinet. It's also relatively travel friendly - we packed it into a small airline amenity kit for a recent trip, since the only parts you need to bring are the tokens and tiles.I don't think this game is going to revolutionize board gaming, but it's a lot of fun and we've returned to it a few times since being introduced. I definitely recommend it if your group enjoys spatial games and is looking for something fresh, or if you're looking for a relatively strategic game to play with young ones that doesn't require a lot of language skill to be successful.

Fun cute game to play
This is a fun and cute game to play with kids. It says 8 and up, but after a little coaching our 5 year old niece had a firm grasp of the rules and was even winning a couple of rounds. The rules over all are simple, and yes you could get more strategic with it if you are only playing with adults, but for kids just playing for fun is fine.I do really like the fact they have to thinks a bit strategically to play it though and think about their next moves.

3 single player game with a team option for four players.
Positives: I played this game with my family, and it was simple, fun, and easy to learn. The game only took about 20 to 30 minutes to play, which is a really good time length for a game. Instructions are simple and easy to understand.Observations: The packaging was fully sealed when the game arrived, but some of the parts had slid around inside the box, and the wrappers holding them together, had torn. This made the game look like it might be used even though it wasn’t. Once you open the game the first time, the pieces don’t fit very well in the box. It would’ve been nice for the game to have some sort of an insert to keep things tidy.Critique: The game says it is for 2 to 4 players. There are only three different candy bar types. This means that if you want to have 4 individuals play they have to play in two teams. They should’ve been more clearly marked on the outside of the packaging, and in the game description.

Great Family Game
The only cons I can point to with this experience involve the rules. I was initially very confused by what was happening when it came to overlapping tiles, but the back of the box eventually clarified that you use a token and a tile to stack on top of existing tiles. The thing I never figured out was how you play a 3-player game. It seems like you're meant to either play with either 2 or 4 players.Still, those annoyances have nothing on how wonderful this is. The game is delightfully designed, and wonderfully replayable. It reminds me of Tsuro (the game of the path), but with a lot more flexibility in strategy and reaction. Kids will be able to understand this one. The list price is only $18. And it's yet to stop being fun. There's nothing especially deep about this game, so it might not appeal to a small number of tabletop RPG fans. But if you're looking for an easy go-to, whether it's just for date night or for a small crowd, then Chocoly is one I believe will be around for many years to come (and with good reason). Highly recommended.Oh, and rest assured that these aren't being sold used. The pieces just move around in the box quite a bit, causing the deck paper (etc.) to tear open before unboxing. This won't damage the pieces or detract from the actual game though.

Great game, but not well packaged and I think mine was open-box
This chocolate game is a lot of fun for a kid who loves deserts. The pieces are pretty thick cardboard that's well layered and doesn't begin to separate at the edges. The print is nice and sharp and colored well, with good gloss on top. The cuttings are lined up well with the print so things don't have a lot of off-center look to them. Also, the pieces are designed to not all be exactly the same shape, which resembles reality. My only complaint is that mine had the pieces already removed as if it was a return, but nothing was damaged so we kept it.

Cute game but seemed opened before
This is a really cute and fun game. I am a little disappointed though that when it arrived there was a little damage to the game box on the outside and when I opened it several pieces looked like they may have been used before (see pictures). There were pieces already punched out from the cards they come on and the paper sleeves were torn and things were just not in the box nicely as expected. I do really like the game just wish it would have arrived in perfect condition and not look used (unsure if it really was used before or not just looks that way in my opinion).I do still recommend getting this game as it is fun. I'm just very particular and take extra good care of my games so disappointed.

Fun!!
This tile game is lots of fun and a new favorite! It is easy to understand but maybe not so easy to win! It is a bit like the Carcassonne game in that you place tiles next to other similar tiles with the goal of having the largest continuous block of your chocolate. Other players can place a one of their tiles over your tiles, using specialty pieces (3 per player), breaking up your chocolate bar block. The pieces are well made yet it’s light enough to be portable. I think lots of different ages can play without getting too frustrated as younger kids will just enjoy connecting the chocolate bar pieces and older players can try to strategize how to build and then block other players. The game went quickly so we played two games before my 6 year old got bored. That’s a win at our house! We will definitely play this again and recommend it to other families!

Jeu amusant
