Sennheiser OCX 684i Ear Canal Sports Headphone - Black/Green

I already own three pairs of excellent Sennheiser headphones. TV wireless type, over-ear Bluetooth type and on-ear wired type. But I was disappointed with these earphones.They came in an over-designed nightmare of a pack. A windowed card box containing a transparent tray containing a blister type moulded pack glued to a multi-leaved folded card to which the earphones and cables were intricately threaded in and out of and also pressed into the pockets of the blister pack and also secured by tiny strips of tape on the back of the card. These phones were extremely difficult to extract from the pack.They are not the same as shown on the sales images. The remote hangs from the right earphone on a short length of cable and from the remote hangs a long loop of cable to the left earphone plus the cable direct to the iPhone etc. The loop of cable was much longer than that shown on the image of the neatly wound cables on the second sales image. My image shows what you see and what you get. I found this design to be very uncomfortable and made it easy to dislodge the right earphone.The cables had been packed tightly folded and secured with wire, causing them to be too kinked to hang naturally. The pack is large enough for them to have been loosely coiled to prevent them from having a kink every 5cm of their lengths. But to be fair, it’s not just Sennheiser who are guilty of doing this.I didn’t expect too much from a £20 set of earphones but the sound quality was good, or would have been if the ear hooks had been able to hold the ear buds in the right place and keep them there. Sadly, they were too flimsy to do this and they cannot be adjusted.They have been returned.

the downside to these headphones for use when running (why I bought them) is that the cable does not neatly and comfortably tidy evenly to the ears...one cable has the inside control and the other is too long.appart from, the lime green isn't a great choice but the audio is great.

Loved the sound, loved my old Sennheiser earphones which fell apart after 7 years of running training and marathons. I needed a replacement to keep me sane on runs during Covid lockdown. Disappointed that the fit does not seem to be designed with runners in mind. The remote control sits on a short cable on the right side. This is uneven to the left side (which has the old style length of 'V' on the chest area. This remote adds weight and movement too close to the ear. The wire can bounce about more and inevitably dislodge the earphone. In any case, it's not 100% possible to effectively use the remote, as you would need to grope about beneath your chin while running. So sad to be returning these as I'm pretty faithful to the Sennheiser quality of sound and finish.

Worked fine initially however part of the jack came off when they were being unplugged from the phone. I thought this brand would have been put together better than this.

Sound was fine, not ideal with specs but workable. However, not at all for left handed users as the control button is high up, almost against the right cheek. Good price, £22 against the newer version being about £70. Colour isn't quite as bright as you fear. Would be OK for a right handed, non specs wearing user.

Other reviewers saying they lack bass ... you don't have a good fit or seal in the ear.I own A LOT of in-ear headphones, from high-end IE800s to various CX models. These are great. I picked them up on offer, but even at full price they offer a fun sound and really good fit for running. The cable is a bit tangle-prone but that's a minor niggle.

Ignore reviews about button placement, I have a large head and it does indeed hang just beneath my chin.Ear hook design - 10/10 hasn't fallen out once.My gripe is that the quality just isnt quite their on these earphones, don't sound a patch on my 5 year old sennheiser earphones. Very dissapointed will be returning to change manufacturer.Sound quality - 7 / 10 ( a generous rating)Loudness - 10/10 music is clear even when driving a 1000 cc motorbike.Design - 6 / 10 , the design is a bit too agent like for it's bright green cable. It needs a green rubner over moulding and ideally ribbon cable not round.Overall - priced at £20 it would be 10/10, these cost £50 putting them in the premium category where they don't belong.
