Dewalt DCS355M1-GB 18V Li-Ion Cordless Brushless Oscillating Multi-Tool

This is one of those tools that will make you question how you lived life before you had it... I originally cheeped out on a B&Q home brand multitool and took it back a few day’s later.. adamant in my mind that multi tools sucked... a year or so later I needed one again and after getting lost in the youtube rebut hole of reviews and already having a few DeWalt tools I took the plunge and bought this and it’s like going from a old Vauxhall to an Audi.. so much better and 2 years on is still my go to for most jobs! Even bought one for my brother as a gift from Amazon too! as a DIYer I used to always worry about the cost of tools but now I ONLY buy pro grade and dewalt is my go to brand - it costs more but at amazon prices it’s worth every penny - and now I have a few kits and 5 batteries I can just buy bare tools at a much better price! If you’re reading this review and thinking I’d you should buy this... stop reading, click buy and don’t tell the wife... you won’t regret it!! I promise!!

Good versatile set, these multi tools or oscillating saws are a brilliant piece of kit to have available if you are a keen diyer or builder alike. Dewalt is a brand you can trust and I have many dewalt products. I have used it for cutting wood, metal and plastic so far. The metal cutter wears out quickly but I was cutting through some 4" galvanised nails on a roof

Excellent bit of kit with many uses. A bit expensive if you need to purchase with a battery but if you only need a naked unit as you already have batteries then you cannot go to far wrong. One fully charged battery lasts for a long time. The accessories that you get means it can be used for lots of jobs around the house for DIY or by profesionals.

I use this multi tool for half an year now. Bought the extensive set with the many attachments and the 4Ah battery. The box that this set comes with is very nice and useful, for compartments for all the accessories and the tool. Definitely not one of this useless boxes that you throw away after you take the tool out. Very usefull tool overall. We use it often on kitchen fittings and I use it almost on a daily bases at the carpentery workshop, mostly as a sander, where the orbital one doesn't fit. I have a 10 years old corded Fein-Multimaster that still works and I use it also almost on a daily basis as a sander with a different sand paper grit. The Dewalt is more powerfull, but the ''original'' is more refined, more silent and vibrates less. It may have something to do with the oscillating angle, or the fact that the Dewalt is pretty light and the body does not absorb the vibration so good. I don't know. But the Dewalt removes material with identical grade pads way faster and cuts wood with identical knives also much faster. With a sharp carbide blade or a new sand disc - this thing either cuts or sands like crazy! I am not a fan of the trigger mechanism on this Dewalt multi-tool, a scroll dial for regulating the revs could have been more comfortable to use in my opinion, especially for more extensive use. Overall the trigger does not feel very solid as well. I believe now that even for a non-professional - having a multi-tool at home is very useful thing to have at disposal. If I have to have only 2 power tools at home for small jobs - a multi-tool would definitely be the second one after the combo drill. It does numerous different jobs, kind of Jack of all trades, master of none. To summarise the pros and cons of this Dewalt multi-tool: PROS: - quite powerful with a brushless motor - very handy and so far reliable changing-blades mechanism - comfortable and really nice to hold, lots of rubber makes it pleasant to hold - striking design, looks really cool CONS: - the biggest con is the wobbling battery, like on all the cordless Dewalt tools. I don't know how Dewalt have not address this so far, their batteries wobble for ages. And if, as in this case, the tool vibrates a lot when working - that sometimes makes the battery rattle on the highest speed settings. The 4AH battery does not wobble that much, but the smaller 2AH - does and rattles when hitting the body Neither my Hitachi, nor Bosch or Makita tools have wobbling batteries. - nasty noise and vibration on the highest rev setting (still. as said - this may be inevitable cause of the design and reason for the efficiency of the tool).

I have had this for a month now and held of reviewing until I had used it a few times. This multitool has done everything I expected of it and quickly. I owned another brand (green) before that overheated and failed on first use so sent it back. This Dewalt is much better, the 4ah battery is good enough for most tasks, I have only had to stop and recharge it once and that was on a lengthy job with a lot of cuts. It flys through thin ply and is speedy enough when notching out 30mm worktops. The metal blade lasted long enough to cut about 20-25 screws that were embedded in wood. replacements work out at around a £1 per blade so not bad. I have managed jobs with this tool that would have proved quite awkward without it so I am glad I purchased it. I dont find it particularly heavy of difficult to use and particularly like the variable speed trigger so I can get a "soft start" on jobs that require an accurate cut. It has saved me getting in trades people on jobs I probably wouldn't have tackled prior to having this tool and the cutting is pretty effortless. I really like the ability to plunge cut and being able to set the depth of cut so studding isn't cut as well.

For its value and what it does 5 stars. There are improvements that could be made, such as being able to set the speed and not rely on how hard you press. This takes a little getting used to, for me anyway. Otherwise it is absolutely awesome. It can do so many jobs quickly and easily.I have already used it in cases where I would normally use the Dremel and a jigsaw. Also used to remove toilet cistern from wall, where screws had completely rusted. Normally I would used a Dremel to remove the screws but this tool just fitted straight down the back and cut through the screw easily. So much quicker and easier. Just because it is so quick and convenient to use and change the blades. It isn't too big and is well-balanced and comfortable to use. Sands perfectly too. I used it to sand uneven plasterboard and top of skirting board and it was very accurate and only took off exactly what I wanted in the smallest of corners. Very happy with this tool. Only downside is that the blades are quite expensive and although many other cheaper blades do fit, they do not fit so perfectly and require a little jiggling to attach and remove them. Some other cheaper blades appear to be better quality, in terms of toughness and strength, than those supplied with this tool, although they do not fit so precisely. This is an awesome tool and wish I had brought one a long time ago!

This is a great tool - not too heavy and nicely balanced (with a 4AH battery pack). It's nice to handle and the guard works well. If you've already got a deWalt XR cordless setup for your power tools, this is a great addition.

The longer I have owned this the more I like it, it comes in useful in so many instances where maybe space is limited or other tools are to much hassle. If I had a pound £ for every time I was glad I bought it, it would have paid for itself. Rather than think of the jobs you need it for just get it and once you have it you will realise how useful it is and how many jobs it can actually do.

Paquete muy completo a muy buen precio. La máquina ergonómica, pesa poco y va de maravilla. Me encanta. La única pega que el sistema de cambiar los accesorios es muy fácil pero la palanca va dura si tienes poca fuerza.

Outil pratique pour poncer, découper, faire des saignées dans un mur en plâtre ou place-plâtre. Je cherchais un appareil sans fils et j'ai longuement hésité entre les marques. Les prix sont proches lorsque vous prenez un produits de qualité. Mon objectif est de commencer une game utilisant les mêmes batteries et disposant aussi d'outillage jardin. Un des critères de mon choix de DeWalt fût le moteur synchrone (Brushless) et la facilité de mise en place des outils. Avec la batterie en place, il est bien équilibré, aucun effort pour le maintenir. Le verrouillage "en marche" de la gâchette en libère le doigt. Agréable pour un long ponçage. Le verrouillage permet également de bloquer la gâchette pour une mise en marche lors de la manipulation des outils. Un plus, la LED d'éclairage dispose d'une temporisation qui la laisse allumée lors l'on relâche la gâchette. Pratique pour voir avant de continuer. Beaucoup de marques n'ont pas encore leur game complete en Brushless.

Wie immer super das Werkzeug von Dewalt ! Da in dem Koffer leider das Akku gefehlt hat mussten wir erst mal mit dem super Kundenservice von Amazon Kontaktaufnahme aber das ist alles super gelaufen ohne Probleme wurde direkt ein neuer Koffer zugeschickt und der andere per Return zurück . Alles in allem super 👍
