I’ve owned this product for two years now and it has always worked well. I’m a paraplegic of twenty years who enjoys living and active outdoor lifestyle. I’ve used this sling to have others help me in and out of a kayak, sit-ski, swimming pool, a sandy shoreline, and other similar situations where I can’t transfer under my own power like I usually would. At personal weights of roughly 200-225 pounds, I’ve been carried up to 50 feet over both rocky and sandy terrain. Usually two people are sufficient, with a third person to support/direct my feet if needed. I’ve felt more secure than being lifted by hand, and caregivers have felt safer about their body mechanics.It has also proven useful for lifts from the floor back to my chair on a couple of occasions when I have fallen.My sling has been exposed to both fresh lake/river water as well as chlorine pool water. In those situations we have rinsed it with clean water, and it hasn’t shown any issues of structural integrity. As with any assistive device, we inspect it carefully before each use.

The product itself is exactly as described. I was able to lift a person who is 5 inches taller and about 20lbs heavier than myself and the person assisting me with the lift. I would recommend for transfers of short distances. In theory, I believe you could do a lift from the floor if needed; would really need to learn proper squat form in order to not injure yourself or the other individual assisting in the lift. I would recommend this product if the person being lifted is still able to comfortably sit up without additional support as the harness itself does not have any support board/ribbing. The harness does have a strap that goes across the hips though, similar to that of a wheelchair. We ended up returning the product as my grandfather can no longer support his own weight when sitting but otherwise it serves its function and is sturdy. I would just be mindful of the support needs of the person who needs to be transferred.

Too awkward and big for small framed mom, tool 2 to 3 strong people to get her in chair abd up/down stairs. Also only used 2 times and one of the handles ripped off, which is dangerous when transporting my mom.

New to the disability world and not having much guidance from professionals, I bought this to help with my son. It works great for transferring him from our truck back to his power chair. At 31 yrs old he feels safe enough for his dad and I to do that and it's easier and quicker than having to set up all the equipment to get his chair high enough to take him out. The 4 point- 2 handles on each point system gives us assurance that he isn't going to be dropped due to material giving out.

Gracias a este producto ella ha podido viajar, para moverla en el avión lo máximo, y es fácil de poner. Lo recomiendo 100% si estás en la misma situación que yo. We bought this help with transporting my mother who stayed with us at my mother in laws house who had 6 steps. The over all look and feel of the lift was nice and sturdy. But on day 1 the stitching on the back where the main straps were attached started popping loose, by day 5 it was almost completely torn and day 6 as soon as we lifted her both straps completely snapped loose. We were able to get her up the stairs for the last time with the hand holds. My mother is well under the weight limit she is 150 maybe, she’s end stage kidney failure and heart failure so weight should not have been an issue. Glad we got past that week but for how much it cost it is very disheartening that it did not last.
