It's total garbage.
If I could give this zero stars I would. The two failures right out of the box were the input cable holes are way to small for any sizable gauge, and the tightening screws failed first time. This literally went into the trashcan before it was even used. More cheap, imported garbage which seems to be the normal nowadays.

Works well can be used on lower power
Works well enlarged solar panels produced more amperages being collected

These are great for small non critical systems / solar projects
I have the 30A version of this, thy look exactly the same, feel like they weigh exactly the same, there appears to be zero changes to the input ports to allow for a heavier weight cable compared to the 30A version... I do not have 100A of solar to test if this thing would explode, but I do not buy the marketing on this. That being said. I have run my 30A version of this with 300 watts of solar for about two years now. It has been fine, though there is some rusting around the USB ports (it is in a pole barn, but it is an open barn so it does not get direct exposure to the elements but it is still "outside". This one seems to work exactly like my 30A version, menus are all the same, display graphics. I would tear it apart out of curiosity but I need one of them to work so it is not worth the risk. I think if your putting 100A on a solar charger that likely has a $9 solar board inside of it your just asking for it. I think you would be safe at 50A but until someone has the setup to test this I would say -- be cautious. I got this for review to use on another small solar project I have that is not mission critical. It is only 100 watts of solar. The nice things about these charge controllers (aside from price) is they have a nice switched load side output that you can use which will turn off automatically when your battery gets to low instead of draining the battery to the point of where it might be damaged. During the winter we get some weeks of cloud cover which does not let the battery fully recharge, so it is nice knowing it is not going to be damaged by draining it too low (when you connect your load directly to the battery). The USB ports are also very helpful, though they seem to be max 1A between the two of them (tried running a Raspberry Pi off of it and got low power warnings). If you have a small solar project that is not mission critical I think these are great (even if they are probably not MPPT and the input ratings are questionable).

Good controller for the money
100A MPPT Solar Charge Controller 12v/24v. We have several off grid solar projects running, and purchased this controller because of the 100 amp rating. We currently have several 10 amp, and 30 amp controllers, both in use, and as backups. This is a slightly different design than the others that we have, but the function is similar. MPPT controllers used to be prohibitively expensive, but have become more affordable recently. Without proper testing I can’t say for sure, but I question the 100 amp rating on this controller, simply because the terminals are not large enough to accept conductors capable of carrying that much current. We used to make enlarged copies of the tiny instruction pamphlets, but now realize that all of these controllers are fairly similar. The interface is easy to use, and you can scroll through the functions, to change the set up very easily. It’s nice that it has the hookup sequence on the face; 1 Battery, 2 solar panel, 3 load, and reverse that for disconnection. It has a couple of USB charging ports, which is pretty standard these days. Whatever the final amperage it can handle, this is still a good controller for the money, so we’re happy with it.
