From Osram comes this outdoor rated twin LED light fitting.The two 13 watt lamps are fixed to a common base and each lamp housing is capable of turning through almost 360°, meaning you can direct the light to where you need it most.The lamp is made from what appears to be a die cast metal in a black finish. The base of the lamp is secured by means of 2 grub screws and an allen key is provided to facilitate this along with a couple of rawlplugs and fixing screws.Now we come to what I consider to be a basic design flaw with the lamp. Cable entry is only provided from the rear. This means that the fixed wiring has to be buried in the mounting surface in able to enter via the cable grommet. As this fitting is likely to be used in an outdoor or garage type environment I would expect that the cabling could be housed in conduit or cable trunking. If this is the case the fitting would have to packed off the wall to get the wiring in, not a desirable or aestheticly pleasing solution. It would have been a simple matter to provide a top or bottom cable entry.A nice product but for me it's inherently flawed because of the cabling issues and that's cost it a couple of stars.

OUTDOOR LAMP==============It's a very good light. with good instructions and installation accessories. The design is great and really very modern.LOOKS======It looks prettier in real life. The base plate is screwed to the wall, and it's made of solid, very solid metal/aluminium. It's rugged whilst looking nice. It should survive a storm or two.INSTALLATION============The installation was really easy. (Secure the floor plate, connect the cable, plug the lamp on, and finish it). Screws and plugs are supplied. which was a welcome surprise.LIGHT=====It's not super bright. The light output is 630 lumens which corresponds approximately to a former 50 Watt bulb. So enough to have for a little, subtle light but not as a principal floodlight. I like the light as I find it is indirect, but discreet and gives our terrace a pleasant feel-good atmosphere, the perfect place to chill. The light is soothing warm white and isn't at all 'glarey'. A warm tone.CONS=====I can't find a way to change the LED bulbs which means changing the whole unit when it stops. You do get a 5 year warranty, and it says it'll last for 30000 hours. So using it for 20 hours a week would mean 28 years. (I did that on a calculator twice- is that right?) So I suppose the lifespan is fine.SIZE====It's neat and just a little bigger than the size of a DVD box.OVERALL========It's an interesting design, the manufacture and finish is really top-end but if you need to replace a 100w lamp this will feel a little too weak. However, If you need a subtle outdoor light which is waterproof and looks very pretty, this is one to consider.

Osram Endura Style Mini Spot II Dark Grey LED light is indeed a very attractive and very stylish light which can be and is made to be used outside the home. Unfortunately for me, there was no sensor to allow it to be used as a security light yet I did find it useful to be positioned at the door leading to the porch.It is recommended to get a professional electrician to install this light and that is what I did and I have to say it was done quickly. The actual light is not very bright but bright enough for me to see who is at the door.I do like the style of the light as it has very clean lines and the actual LED lights are fully exposed to allow the lights to provide as much light as possible. I like that Osram has a full guarantee of it which lasts 5 years which gives me a confidence that the light will last.Happy to recommend.

A really sylish and modern looking set of outdoor LED spotlights...They are well made and strong.....I am lucky enough to have an electrician as a nephew and he replaced an existing light with this one in only 20 minutes as the power cabling was already in place.I have to say if you want the light fitted in a new place or don't have the outdoor wiring it might be a longer job with mess ect to run the cabling through the wall ect ( no cabling is supplied)it looks good - I am impressed with the styling of the light and also the light it emits!!!

This seems a very well made and sturdy external light. I'm using it to light the patio outside the kitchen. The previous 500w (!) halogen spotlight was worn out, and when it did work the light was glaring and not the nicest light to sit by. This on the other hand is a pleasant non glaring warm, bright light. Installation was a breeze for me as the cabling is where I needed it. The pictures here make it look "plasticy" but it feels extremely well made and solid. We'll see how it gets on over the winter! Lovely item
