How to operat1. Place the shaft on the engaged base by aligning the notches. Turn the shaft clockwise to secure it while holding the base engaged. 2. Fasten the ball winder to the table or other bracket with an integral clamp that is controlled by turning the red button. 3.Turn the thread guide so that the end of the loop is upward. Take it out as much as you can. 4.The thread is easily placed through the guide, simply wrapping it, clockwise, around the final coil. 5. Turn the handle to the right, forming the thread into a ball. Notice: 1.Please allow 1-3mm error due to manual measurement. Please make sure you don't mind before you make an offer. 2.The colors may have different as the difference display, please understand. Wool winder
Exactly as I expected and does the job I wanted it for (centre pull balls of wool so I can knit while the wool is in a bag). Very fiddly to get back in the box for storing but over all a good purchase.

Works well, but feels cheap
It works well and is very easy to set up and use. If I'm honest it "feels" a bit cheap and tacky, so may not last that long if handled roughly. Only tome will tell

Brilliant
great product! saved the hours of holding out arms to wind the wool !

Does the job but keep your eye on it.
The winder does its job but it’s a bit flimsy. The support that pulls out to hold the wool keeps collapsing and if you get distracted your wool can tangle up in the bottom of the winder and it’s very difficult to get out.

Not fit for purpose
Very unhappy customer! I was excited to get this because I've just re- found a passion for the craft of crochet but modern balls of wool seem to unwind into a complete mess! Rather than rewind by hand, thought I'd get myself a winder to make cakes of wool.I spent a good hour trying to get this item to work....the yarn guide would not stay upright .......the yarn got tangled around the gear mechanism......the air was blue with my very unladylike language!My experience and advice is BUYER BEWARE. Not a recommended product by me. I'm returning the item and back to the drawing board and rinse my mouth out with soapy water😉

Pay a bit more for a better one
I wanted one quickly and cheaply so I bought this. Next time I’d invest a bit more. The pull out arm doesn’t stay in place and needs a hand to hold that and a hand to turn the winder which makes it a two person job. Only just fits 100g on and a few times has become wound around the bottom

Spend a bit more on another design
The wire guide will not stay in the locked position so you have to sit with your finger holding it back. I’ve ordered a different one now that has better reviews.

Appareil qui fait le job quand on ne veut pas investir ! Idéal pour bobiner quelques écheveaux. Semble robuste, peut être fixé à une table de faible épaisseur. Ses couleurs très seventies me plaisent ! Bon rapport qualité prix

Nutzbar aber ausbaufähig
Der Garnwickler tut die meiste Zeit was er soll und ist eine kostengünstige Alternative zu den Markenherstellern. Leider klappt bei mir die Fadenführung immer wieder zur Seite, was die Garnspannung beeinträchtigt und ich muss mit der Hand mithelfen. Die Halterung ist auch nicht für sehr dicke Tische geeignet.

Simpatico e utile
Oggetto simpatico e utile, abbastanza facile da usare ma da toccare con cura e fare attenzione quando lo si usa per non creare danni con i fili ma se usato nel modo giusto e con le giuste accortezze è un oggetto utile e divertente. Direi che il rapporto qualità/prezzo è molto buono.

Cumple lo que promete
Llegó en perfectas condiciones. Hay que tener un pico de cuidado al hacer los ovillos porque es un poco endeble. Sin embargo cumple bién su función para el precio qie tiene. Lo compraría otra vez.
