This comes with all you need to sprout seeds except the jars and seeds. The stainless steel screens work well and are easy to clean without being so coarse that seeds fall out. This kit has two large mouth and two small mouth screens and tops. I find the large mouth work better, but I bought this kit because I only had a couple of large mouth jars. The plastic trays are a bit tight, but still do the job.

I bought a bag of alfalfa seeds last year thinking they were for field planting but saw its for sprouting. I decided to try this but did not enjoy it. I'm not able to rinse the seeds every 3-6 hours and I felt it wasted too much water. I grew one nice bowl but will not be doing this again. I will say though that the product itself works as described.

The tilt of the jar helps them to drain and I love the little dish it sets on. This has made growing my sprouts so much easier.

I gave this as a gift. My friend is very happy and excited to start growing sprouts.

This product was useless. The screen doesn't allow the water to drain because it is too fine; roots block the openings. The result is rotten sprouts that won't grow

I misunderstood the product description a bit and assumed that the jars would be included but finding glass jars to fit were not a problem, especially since two sets of lids in two different sizes are included. I chose smaller pint jars to use to start out, and the process has been extremely easy. I put one tablespoon of alfalfa seeds in one jar and two tablespoons of mung beans in the other, put on the lids and add water. After letting them soak overnight, I drain the water and place the jars upside-down in their stands inside a kitchen cupboard where they can sprout in the dark. 2 or 3 times a day, fill the jars with fresh water and give them a swirl before draining again and putting them back on their stands. In just five days, you'll have pint jars jam-packed full of alfalfa and mung sprouts ready to eat.

I found the effort you have to put in to rinse the beans twice a day (if you rinse once per day they turn brown) for several days and then the effort to remove the hulls of the beans is not worth the effort. The price is inflated for what you receive. My advice is find another way to sprout or buy from the store.
