OMG…. We tried everything and couldn’t get the heater to turn on then it was really cold. The HVAC company tried to sell us on a new unit but the thing was that it did work, just not when it was too cold. Our unit is in the attic so of course when it was cold outside, the attic would be freezing as well. We tried switching the igniter from the basement unit up to the attic and same problem. We finally decided to try this igniter because it is a longer rod versus a short flat stick.When the product arrived we thought that it would be difficult to install because it’s just cables but it was actually super easy. Instantly it worked! Honestly I was skeptical waiting for a very cold night to see if it would continue to work and it sure did! We got the igniter late November and now almost going into spring, so greatful not to have cold nights!

Installed and worked flawlessly.

Will take a few years to know how long it lasts. Light shelving plastic package was bent all around in light bubble letter package but no apparent damage. Came though customs quickly enough.Even for a backup it's a must have on hand. 10 minutes and the heat is on again.
