This sharpening item was not expensive, but WOW does it do the trick! All my knives now are extremely sharp so you have to be extra careful. When you first use your knife after sharpening it you will feel it slice through like butter! Very impressive!

This is a great item! I was not sure if it would be any good as its so small and having purchase knife sharpeners in the past, all have left me and my knifes feeling rather dull. What a blessing to at last find one that does actually work and it has brought a new sence of joy to my chopping! Even onions that in the past have left me in tears are diced and sliced with little effort!It sticks to my counter top really well and when not In use it lives on my fridge as its suction pads are very strong.

It took me a short while to get the angle of my knives right to then drag them correctly through the centre of this gadget. There's kind of a wrong sound and a right sound to the metal sliding through the sharpener but once I'd got the hang of it..... Just wow! I'm so happy to have sharp knives again. It makes slicing and chopping a breeze. I will say that every time I use the suction pad to fix it in position, I dab the base on a wet sponge which cleans the pad and gives it a tight glue like grip. Absolutely love this kitchen essential. Can't really recommend it enough but like I said, it takes quite a few goes to get the sliding motion right and get used to it so that instead of damaging the knives it just gives a perfect new blade edge.

As others have stated in large numbers, the suction pad is useless. It makes it dangerous. The blade cutter however is good. Small improvement required.

I was so excited to find this amazing knife sharpener on Amazon. I bought my first one on GMA years ago and proved very durable. I preferred the metal over the plastic, both worked fine, just my preference. Finally it wore out, it wasn't sharpening my knifes anymore. In the description it says it last 2 years, well mine worked for over 4 years. This was the ONE sharpener that I could use and it worked!! I had tried so many, and some were expensive. Forget the way you must hold one of those sharpening "sticks" and the angle it has to be held....ARGH!I keep AnySharp next to my knife block. It's small, out of the way, until I need a knife sharpened. So easy to use and safe to achieve a really sharp blade.My video shows a very dull knife.
