EkitFoldable Battery Dock for iPad / iPad 2

This worked well for a while, its compact and charges the device really quickly but it doesn't work so well with an iPad. Not robust so would not buy again

brilliant for on the go, kids in the car, came with protective case, charges my IPAD with no problems at all.

Have you ever found yourself on a long journey, whether it by train, car or plane? Your Ipad is down to its final few percent, there is no way to charge it but you still have several hours to go? I have, but thanks to this great bit of kit it will never happen to me again.I was due to leave on another long business trip to the Far East, when I stumbled across this product. I was intrigued by it, to be honest I was not sure if it would be any good but felt for the price it would be worth the gamble. The dock arrived a couple of days before I left and I straight away charged it up.I plugged it in, using a plug I had already owned (this item only comes with the wire - frustrating), it took just under four hours to show it had reached 100% capacity. I was extremely impressed by the bar that showed how much it was charged 25, 50 and then the legendary 100%. I packed it into my hand luggage alongside my Ipad and set off. 7 hours into my flight the inevitable happened and my Ipad died. I had already been using the dock as stand, which was a great added bonus while I watched my movies. I turned it on and et viola my Ipad lived again, after two hours my Ipad had around 60% battery life which I was very satisfied with.Overall I would say this item is superb for the price, it charges, it supports and allows you to keep enjoying your Ipad even after its initial death. The one negative I would say is that it comes with no mains plug but other than that it's excellentTop tip - this can be used with any apple product with a 30 pin connector

I went away a few weeks ago and I decided this time I would be prepared! Last time I endured a long haul flight, my TV system on the flight was not working so I spent 9 hours reading a magazine cover to cover...several times. Now I have an iPad I figured just in case it happened again I would be prepared and this battery dock was part of that preparation.Pre flight - The indicator light shows when it is ready and the dock takes around 4 hours to fully charge to capacity with the Mini USB to USB connector; then it just slips nicely into a smart drawstring bag ready for travel. Fully charged this battery dock gave my iPad 60% more charge, which would be more than enough to watch a few films on.In Flight - Now, although my TV did work this time, I continued to use my iPad as the screen was much more viewable. Once the battery started to get low I just plugged it into the dock and off it went. By the time I had watched another film on the TV, the iPad was charged to around 60% and I was ready to switch back.The rubberised feet gave the dock that extra grip and secured my iPad on the fold down tray for extra stability whilst it charged which was extremely handy especially as the flight was slightly turbulent.The design is sleek and stylish and sits on my desk top at home when it is not with me but this is now such a valuable piece of Kit for me, I find myself with the dock as the latest must have accessory in my handbag. The lightweight and compact design means that it is easy to travel with, and if I have my iPad, I no longer leave home without it.At such a low cost it is worth every penny and all praise.
