Quieter than a mouses fart!!!
Bought an old 4 bay 1U rackmount NAS from eb** and was shocked how noisy it was. 60+db while building a raid array. So thought not happening and went looking for silent fans, found these and read the reviews and being a Scotsman I was like seriously? for a wee fan like that? and there were 3 system fans and 1 power supply fan. I was aboot greetin. Bought the 4 fans and proceeded to swap them out taking measurements along the way. After replacing the 3 system fans the noise level dropped to a low of 21db and peak of 25db system temp 1degree lower CPU temp 1 degree higher. I then swapped the power supply fan and set the system to rebuilding a raid volume, which is possibly the most intensive thing a NAS is going to do and it is quite happily purring along at a peak of 18 db with a system temp 2 degrees lower and a CPU temp 1 degree higher than factory fitted fans. I should mention that I am using the low noise adaptor cables that come supplied in the fan kit for the 3 system fans. The kit is well supplied with everything you need and gives you options aplenty for extensions and fitting methods. The quality seems to be superb and longevity is backed by their guarantee. I will be buying these fans exclusively from now on and upgrading all fans in my servers. The only nark I would have is the colour! My god it's awful lets have some bright colourful options yellow/black red/black etc, something to indicate that it's a premium high performance fan. Lookswise it definitely needs some cool. Other wise very happy if not skint wee laddie but well worth it.

Top-notch-quality quiet fan and _unbelievably comprehensive_ accessory kit, worth the price of the kit alone!
I bought this fan to replace the noisy one included in an old HDD IDE rack I need to use (the cheap supplied fan has become unbearably noisy due to dust after just a few months of everyday use, unfortunately...). This was the first time I bought a Noctua fan, even if I knew this is one of the highest-quality brands of silent fans, and although some people might think this specific kit is overpriced for a small 40x40x10mm fan, I can assure you that the packaging and the accessories included in it are worth the price of the product alone! The fan itself is almost completely inaudible outside of a case, especially when used at reduced speed, which can be obtained by using the clever low-noise adaptor: a small, inconspicuous cable extension, which goes between the fan connecting cable and the power source connector, and lowers the rotating speed from 4500 to 3700 rpm; by the way, the air flow produced even at reduced speed seems considerable anyway, in my opinion. But the most amazing aspect of this product are the supplied accessories included in this gorgeous kit: apart from some typical, high-quality metal screws, you get professional silicon pins, which can be used to mount the fan screwlessly in order to reduce vibrations, an extension cable, an adaptor cable to convert from 3 to 2 power pins, and the most wonderful adapter of them all: the incredible OmniJoin adaptor set, which includes an extension cable ending with 2 truncated red/black power wires, and four _amazing_ "crimp-like" connectors, which allow you to join the truncated power wires to any other corresponding wires coming from _any_ appropriate fan power source inside the PC, _without even having to remove the insulation from the cables_ (!). Basically, in case you want to attach this fan to any "custom" connecting cable with a connector that does not fit any of the included adaptors, you can just cut the connector off of your available custom power cable, and join the resulting truncated black/red wires with the corresponding truncated ones from the Noctua OmniJoin adapter, "crimping" (pressing) the red/black power wires together using 2 of the 4 omnijoint proprietary connectors with flat-nose pliers (not included). If this sounds complicated, actually I assure you it is not, and everything is explained in extremely clear instructions with detailed figures included in the kit, of course. It is a _very_ clever and professional alternative to just "splicing" power cables together with insulating tape, in my opinion! In the future, I will definitely try more Noctua products like this one, in case I need to attach a fan to a custom power cable, hoping they will work with no problems... (Please note that I have _not_ tried the omnijoint connectors, since I do not need them for my specific connector, luckily.) So, all things considered, in my opinion you _definitely_ get what you pay with this amazing product, and I just hope the fan will last for a long time!

Whisper-Quiet Marvel with an Impressive Array of Accessories
The Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX is nothing short of a fanatical fan's dream come true. This little marvel has left me awestruck, and it absolutely deserves a solid 5-star rating. Let me break down why this fan has me singing its praises, and don't even get me started on the vast array of included accessories. Silent Powerhouse (5/5): First things first, the noise level - or should I say, the lack thereof. This fan is so quiet; it's like a whisper in a library. You can barely tell it's running, even at full tilt. It's a game-changer for anyone who values a peaceful computing environment. Impressive Cooling (5/5): Despite its tranquil operation, this fan knows how to keep things cool. It might be small, but it packs a punch when it comes to airflow. Whether you're cooling your CPU or improving case ventilation, it gets the job done efficiently. Flexible Speed Control (5/5): The FLX in its name stands for "flexible," and it lives up to the title. With the included Low-Noise Adapters and Ultra-Low-Noise Adapters, you can fine-tune the fan's speed and noise levels to your exact liking. It's all about customising your cooling experience. Noctua Quality (5/5): When you invest in a Noctua product, you're investing in quality. This fan is no exception. The build quality is top-notch, and it comes with a 6-year warranty, which speaks volumes about the manufacturer's confidence in their product. Easy Installation (5/5): Installing this fan is a breeze. Noctua includes all the necessary mounting hardware and even provides clear, concise instructions. Even if you're not a tech wizard, you'll have no trouble getting this fan up and running. Now, let's talk about the incredible array of included accessories. Noctua doesn't just give you a fan; they provide a complete package. You'll find a variety of adapters, extensions, and even a low-noise adapter, allowing you to tailor your setup precisely to your needs. It's like a treasure trove of options for achieving the perfect cooling solution. I must add that I used this fan to replace the noisy Hikvision NVR standard fan. The difference was night and day. No more intrusive fan noise disrupting my work or leisure. In a nutshell, the Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX is a silent powerhouse that's perfect for anyone who demands both performance and tranquillity from their cooling solutions. Its ability to keep things cool without uttering a peep is nothing short of remarkable. Whether you're building a new PC or looking to upgrade your existing system, this fan is a game-changer. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I highly recommend it to fellow PC enthusiasts. It's a 5-star gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good value for money, usual Noctua quality.
Good value for money, with good speed and airflow. Maybe slightly more load than I was expecting but that might be because of the airflow in my storage bay. It is certainly much quieter that the factory fan that the storage bay came with. This also came with adaptors that enabled me to use the original 2 pin connector, I just cut the wire from the original fan, attached the adaptors and it worked just fine. It only took me 10 mins to complete the installation so very easy. Happy with the item!

Netgear GS748TP Switch - 5x replacement fans
Don't normally write reviews but hopefully this may help someone. Yes the fans are expensive but the quality is excellent and a 6 year guarantee gives some hope that I won't have to revisit this job for some time. I acquired a 48 port Netgear GS748TP Switch on eBay for a great price. The problem was it sounded like a Jet Fighter and was totally unusable for a home office environment. I saw sets of replacement fans from US sellers on eBay at a crazy price including shipping but wasn't sold on the potential build quality and/or reliability of these Chinese branded overpriced parts. Long story short, after coming up short researching fan requirements for my specific switch, I stripped back the switch and discovered 3x 4020 fans and 2x 4010 fans all running at 12v. Having read a few reports on other switches where people were having trouble getting the Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX fans to work, I decided to take the plunge and order 5x Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX fans. You have to change the pin wiring on these to match the Netgear Red|Blue|Black pin heading so this means changing the Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX fan headings from Black|Red|Yellow to Red|Yellow|Black. This is easy with a small flat headed screwdriver to unlatch them. Once done they spin up beautifully and the noise difference is night and day! Admittedly the airflow throughput isn't anywhere near what the is was with the original fans but this switch is never going to be stretched so for me the compromise to achieve something so quiet (not really audible from 2m away) is well worth it. NB: The only caveat to all this is that fan error warning light on the switch stays lit but this doesn't affect the fans running. If you can live with the additional light then this is a worthwhile mod for a home setup. Will definitely look to use Noctua fans on any future builds/upgrades.

Excellent low noise replacement for OEM fans in network switch.
I bought a POE switch (Drayek 1282 to be exact) - I had plans on mounting the switch to the wall behind my desk. I work in data centres a lot, so it shouldn't have surprised how loud the thing was. I took a gamble and bought a couple of these fans. The swap out was very easy - most PC kit will want a 12v fan (in case you were wondering to go with the 5v or 12v variant). The fans ship with everything you could need. My OEM fans connected to a 2 pin header on the main board. I cut the connectors from the old fans and used the included "OnmiJoin adaptor kit" to hook the new Noctua fans up to the original connectors. Again very easy. Mounting the fans in the chassis was easy as well. On power up the drop in noise was significant. Degrees of magnitude quieter. I ran for a day to check switch temperatures were staying low - all good. With that working well, I cracked open the switch again and added the (included) low noise adaptor - this just slows the fan RPM down a bit to reduce the fan noise. Again noticeable difference. Am now at the stage where the switch is under my desk and I can't hear it above the background noise anymore. Bearing in mind that with the OEM fans the noise levels were at the "extremely annoying " level on the other side of a closed door. Very happy - just wish I'd videoed the whole process.
