I have used similar, magneto pulsar, claim it helps with infections & inflammations, device wasn't sturdy, broke down. Does this work same way?

I don't know about infections but it helps inflammation in muscles. I've had mine years, carted about in my handbag, dropped on carpets, car floor and generally goes everywhere with me even abroad. The only time it broke was when I dropped it down a flight of stairs onto a laminate floor!!

Can it be used with replacement hip

Yes! My right hip was replaced over 25 years ago and my left hip is pinned, wired and fixed due to a congenital pelvic deformity. I don't know, but do know it works for my friend and for me. Yesterday I used it for gut ache, strapped in small of my back. Within the 10 mins timing I was able to defecate.
