Sam Edelman Women's Portman Knee High Boot

I was on the fence about these boots but ultimately decided to keep them. I'm a huge believer in Sam Edelman boots & shoes and own several pairs, but this size seems to run a little small. I went a half size up, I'm 5'3", 115, and the calf size is really tight on me and it's a little higher on my leg than I would like. Also, if you're someone who likes to sit with your legs crossed, the buckle on the top makes this really awkward and uncomfortable. They're gorgeous, so I'm hoping they stretch out some, but definitely tight all the way around.

These are beautiful, high quality boots but they do run a little more narrow in the ball of the foot than my previous Sam Edelman boots. Since the length, toe box, and heel were all fine, I kept them as I know the leather will stretch over time. However, they are definitely "break in" needed. As far as height, they come just below my knee and I am 5' 8''. The calf is perfect--close fitting but plenty of room for skinny jeans.

I have a hard time finding flat boots that I like. I ended up keeping these because I just needed a pair and these fit. I get a lot of compliments on them and I like the versatility of the color, but perhaps ever so slightly darker than pictured. At first, the boots kind of rubbed on my ankle and hurt a little, but as I continued to wear them, I think I've started to either get used to it or I broke them in. They are great quality and I've already got a lot of use out of them. I would recommend.

These boots are definitely a bit snug - I'm 5'8", ~150 pounds with pretty thin (though athletic) calves and they're very form fitting on me. I'm hoping they stretch a bit as most of my boots tend to do. So far I have not been able to wear them with thick socks, which is usually my go-to in New England winters.

I don’t own many shoes. Just two other pairs, including tennis shoes. When I make a purchase, I choose quality over quantity. Based on other reviews, I nearly didn’t order these boots because I was worried they would be too tight on my foot. And when I first slipped these on, right out of the box, they were tight across the joints of my toes. I could feel my bones popping as I stepped and it hurt. But I decided to just wear them around the house for as long as I could as see if they stretched out. These are 100% leather (and feel wonderful!) so they should stretch to fit your foot. And that’s exactly what happened. I don’t have wide feet. Just average. And within 45 minutes my feet were no longer feeling tight in the boots. They felt perfectly comfortable like the boots had been custom made, just for me. I have now been wearing them for a few months and they look and feel wonderful. They are everything I hoped for!! I am 5’3, about 110 lbs and the boots come up just below my knee. I can wear skinny jeans or boot cut jeans with these easily, but I don’t have particularly large calf muscles; just average. These are stylish, comfortable, they look very well made and should last for years. I’m 100% happy with my purchase.

A great color if you're looking for a caramel-colored boot. They're a little taller than my other riding boots, but not so tall that it's a problem. The fit was as expected--I ordered my normal size, and even with a thicker sock, the boots fit well. A great all-leather boot!

I can’t say enough positive things about these boots. They are beautiful. Well made, the leather is incredible, the fit is perfect. They are all classic elegance but can be dressed up or down. I loved them so much I bought them in both colors.
