My spouse had neck surgery at c2-c3 and c3-c4 when he woke he was having swallowing difficulties. He came home on thickened liquids. We tried the product from the hospital and one other brand before this one. This product leaves no residue behind as the other two products. My husband says there is no taste or gritty texture as the other. By far the superior products. I highly recommend this if your having dysphagia!

Needing to make Level 4 fluids and pureed foods thickeners are necessary but some are not completely satisfactory. This is good with very little lumping, hot or cold, and easy to use. Happy to recommend.

It works just like the other leading brand but priced less. Only three ingredients and similar to the other brand. Edit: We recently bought another batch and we're satisfied with the efficacy of the product. Edit 2: Very important: Container or cup has to be completely dry before adding any powder. Add desired amount of powder in a completely dry cup then add some liquid then stir quickly with a fork until the powder has disolved into the liquid then add more liquid as needed. Let it stand for a few minutes to thicken. Repeat with a new cup or a completely clean dry cup. DO NOT add powder directly into any liquid, even a drop of liquid, otherwise it will clump. I add three scoops of powder for every 250ml/1 cup of liquid to get it to a nector consistency.
