Copper Chef Electric Skillet - Buffet Server - for Steaming Sauteing or Frying

Poor Quality—Not What We Expected from Copper Chef
Temperature control was extremely inconsistent from the beginning. Even with the temperature control turned as low as it would go, the skillet would get smoking hot and burn food. Then for several weeks it went the other extreme, where turned up as high as it would go would just maintain a slow simmer. Then just recently back to the initial extreme, where the only way to keep from burning food was to keep unplugging the skillet, as the temperature control was non-functional. Lost its nonstick properties after only 6 or 8 uses despite being extremely careful. With it not being submersible (as the majority of electric skillets are nowadays), it wasn’t particularly convenient to clean, though manageable. We had spent over $150 on this skillet, hoping it would last us for at least a few years, as we had gotten tired of replacing less expensive skillets every 6 to 12 months. Unfortunately this skillet did not even last 6 months; we threw it away yesterday after the temperature control finally quit working altogether, and after the “nonstick” coating was irreparably scorched to the point everything was sticking badly—even pancakes. We’re going back to the $30 to $40 “disposable” skillets—not a great solution but better than the huge disappointment with this one. We are happy with our other Copper Chef products, but my impression is that Copper Chef should stick with the pots and pans and stay out of the electric skillet business.

The connector was not of very sturdy quality.
Although the copper material was really non-stick, the connector was not of good quality, as it broke into two pieces. I had to glue the pieces together. I am not sure how long the glue will hold. If there is a way to send me a new connector and I can return the broken one. I will appreciate.

Really is non-stick
I love mine. Got rid of two old ones and am using this one exclusively. It cleans up very easily, too. Well made and heavy-ish, I use it several times a week and am very happy with this purchase. Plan to buy more from this brand.

Great size skillet & so easy to clean
We use this electric skillet every day to prepare breakfast meats, casseroles, burgers, and more.It cannot be immersed in water but is so easy to clean that is not an issue. So far the surface has remained perfectly intact but I admit to being extra careful and protective of it!

Great purchase and results
The ease of use and the Cooper Chef features make this a great purchase. My daughter moved and we had no pots and pans so I bought this skillet from her neighborhood Wal-Mart. I was so pleased when i got home I bought it for myself from Amazon. Now we both enjoy using them for quick tasty meals

Copper Chef Electric Skillet
Great skillet, fries chicken, pork chops, etc very well. Food doesn’t stick and super easy to clean up, just wipe it out with a paper towel.

Broken handle/damaged box, but would probably have been OK if not damaged
I'm sure this is a fine product if you were able to use it. Unfortunately, mine arrived in a damaged box and the handle was broken in half. I was afraid to use it not knowing what other damage it may have had. Am in the process of returning it.
