Makita EN4951SH 25.4cc 4-Stroke Pole Hedge Trimmer

Liked the engine very much...easy start and fairly quiet running.Also liked the 180 blade rotation which allowed easy packing in my hatchback. Its construction is solid although does make it a tad on the heavy side.. Definitely a good buy.

Good machine, starts fine hot or cold. Obviously heavier than an electric but you're free from a cable and I love that when climbing up and down ladders and moving around the garden.If you're use to 2-stroke engines you'll notice this 4-stroke is quieter but ear protection is still best worn. You may find it loud if this is your first petrol tool. I like it and happy that I no longer have to ram the step ladder into the hedge as much as possible to be able to reach the far side - I can back away from the hedge and still reach.It's heavier than an electric so while waiting for delivery try a few push ups, bicep curls, shoulder presses, lateral raises, etc. to build a bit of strength ;o).It comes with a small bottle of oil to get you started so just add that to the oil chamber and unleaded petrol separately to the tank and you're off.

this head strimmer is fantastic , built like a brick wall very very sturdy gets my hedge to a perfect cut, so easy to get started no messing out of the box oil in petrol in made sure all head positions were working and then it was off to work we go. very happy man

Great product if heavy....no oil arrived in package.I wish the active cutting length area was a bit longer but still great product. Very easy starter and don't have to tightrope walk the last rung on my ladder any more...much safer. Well worth buying.

Great piece of kit very well built and has cut through eveything ive used it for, these things are a bit heavy so be aware ( that goes for any brand not just Makita)Very happy with the buy.

I tried a neighbour's before buying and was impressed. Although this is a newer model, it still has the balance of the older model. Now I have my precious heavier electric hedge trimmer for sale!
